Thank you for the great support. The game is excellent. It is fun to see the improvements from beta 4 to the gold ++ version. Looking forward to being in the group for the long haul. Thanks to the whole team!

This should still work for the released version. I will update once we get the day 0 patch.
Also, make sure you are not modding the original files, but instead making a mod file and putting in the mod directory. I think they pre-loaded the xml, and if they don't see a new file to load, it will assume the existing xml is the same (could be wrong on this, but it might also be contributing to the problem).

/signed Thank you so much Stardock, you guys are really amazing at the effort and dedication you put forth. Really looking forward to the great journey that is just beginning with Elemental.
Great story. That was an epic battle. This makes me so happy. Looking forward to next week.
Download archive....good to know. I ran into this problem when I moved to a new computer. I just redownloaded everything, but I'll try the download archive option. (That way on Monday or Tuesday, I can download it at work and bring it home and install it here at home :) ) Less downtime before playing FTW.
So awesome. I am really excited to play. Quick Question: So are you happy with how Yithril played, should they have crushed you? Is there something else that was preventing them from striking at your capital? Great AAR. Looking forward to part 4 (and making my own once we get the game ) :)
Awesome. This just makes it that much harder to wait for release. Thanks for sharing Frogboy!
Indeed, I have been a stardock fan since the original galCiv saved me from MOO3. :) I've not regretted a purchase from Stardock yet.
Hopefully, this will be a moot point sometime in the near future when custom servers are available. I agree, can we go back to the "we all love each other" forums that we used to have? [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
Wohoo! Awesome. Thanks for the continuing support. I'm really looking forward to this. Thanks to the whole team. Excellent job!
Look guys, the game compiled. If there are bugs, we assume the compiler should have caught them. That's what the compiler is for. Now, none of us have had time to load the game or try it out but I'm sure it's fine.
:) I am going to try this line on my boss later today.
Quoting Murteas, reply 197Tridus, The point of the thread is: "Hey you can get the game set up on your internal network that is connected to the internet before your friends come over to play. Here's how you do it... BTW you will each need a unique serial to play on the Stardock servers you are connecting to." The point was never to say this is how you set up a LAN only game or if/when the game will support 15 pla
That person is just trying to dismiss MP concerns by trying to label anyone obnoxious and rude just for asking questions. We're just days from release and the information on multiplayer is thin at best. None of this would have been such an issue if Stardock had just come out and released actual information on MP. Don't come out and give some weird little "trick" about getting this game to work on LAN when the game, in f
It's obviously unreasonable to purchase several multiple copies for those few times a year when relatives visit. It's actually sad Stardock hasn't considered the family demographic. Tridus, I think that ultimately the issue comes down to this: Stardock decided to put LAN support (i.e. Custom Servers) on the list for post-release. They did that so that they could finish other things that they deemed more important. You feel that any MP game should not only have internet games avaialble but also complete modding and Lan Support at release time or it is unfinished from a MP perspective.
Quoting Annatar11, reply 172I like how Frogboy never actually said "This game has LAN Support", and everyone is jumping on him as if he did. He just gave instructions on how to install the game easily on your networked machines so people could come over and play. Reading comprehension isn't that difficult, people. You sure about that? Beta 2 won’t have the custom games in them. That’ll come later during
What Frog is saying is that IF these two things are true 1. you want to play multiplayer on the servers that Stardock set up(you use impulse to access them) 2. the other players are connecting to the internet(server running the game) through the same LAN THEN the easiest way to play multiplayer is to follow the instructions given in Frog's original post. You can't play over LAN r
Excellent! Congratulations on going gold! It looks great. You guys have really out done yourselves. [e digicons][/e]
Excellent. It looks really good. I can't wait. Great job all around Stardock. Congrats on the (near) gold status!
Feel free to try this faction editor: https://forums.elementalgame.com/390184 . It can do the things you are talking about. :)
As for question 1: I have put together a faction editor ( https://forums.elementalgame.com/390184 ) that will produce a new faction, and I'll keep updating after release if we don't get a Stardock made tool, I'll release the source code as well, so others can make it better. I don't think that faction editing should hold you back. There are so (!!!!) many things you can do with this, it is a bit overwhe

The game has been delayed to the 25th of August. I can't believe it. I bet it is because it is not ready and they really are going to delay until next February. I had my whole life planned around an 12:01 am release on the 24th, now I am going to lose my job, wife, kids, and my neighbor's dog. [/Conspirac
