Well - it's really more of a question of what type of game do you like. edit - if you like 1st person shooters, I've heard great things about tribes - ascend - apparently lots of fun without spending a dime as well.
Honestly, I like most genres of games. I particularly like strategy, but I usu

So I am really a skeptic of the F2P model. I have avoided it, so give me some ideas of what I should try that will not make me hate this model. I've heard: League of Legends Battleforge LOTR Online Others: What is best to get me eased into this mode of playing.
Any reason we can't just say "turn world difficulty to easy and monsters to sparse" if you are going to whine about the world being difficult. If you don't like roaming monsters in the early game turn them off, there is an option for this.
Leeboy, that sounds like a good way to increase the atmosphere of the game while still giving the information that the player needs. I like it.
Great ideas here. I would like it to be easier to see what the AI is doing on its turn in my line of sight.
This would be a great feature. I would love to have this information. Even if it is a range of turns (i.e. 20 -25 turns before these monsters take root and start producing xxxx-superMonster).
Quoting Murteas, reply 5I like have to come up with a different strategy every time. I dont mind that, but I would still like to keep that to the faction creation, then for players like you they could design a random race generator so you can have your randomness and having to come up with your strategies... I like to come up with an empire idea when creation my empire (Or kingdom), and then play it out on the map, and it
Really surprised by those that don't like random tech. I'm with the OP. I like have to come up with a different strategy every time. I'm not talking about critical techs, but the high end techs should be more random. I'm fine either way, but I like random stuff with everything. :)
Could be fixed with a few maintenance spells that slow down the movement of enemies when they enter your territory. If you want to have roads, then you can decide if you want to manage the spells to slow enemies down. That or put a few scouts on the road leading to your city.
Definitely would support this. In fact where do I pay right now? :)
So, I'll work on new stuff if anyone has a request. Anything you guys would like to see?
The Gaunt's Ghosts series of books are pretty good, but I don't know if they qualify as Fantasy or Sci-Fi. I'll second the recommendation of Raymond Feist's books. I've just started the Magician series and am enjoying it.
Several of the sovereigns start with a path trait at the beginning and so they are probably picking up a 2nd at level 4.
Yeah, most of the stuff I do is modified game art. That way it stays with the artistic theme of the game.
Sure, that tree is also in the Elemental files. It is located here: FallenEnchantress\Gfx\TacticalIcons\Resource_OldGrowthForest.png in your game files.
Feel free to use any of them you'd like. Enjoy. The tree is actually an icon from the game. I converted it to a .png if that is helpful, otherwise it is a .dds file. Here is my png version:
I want to fund an expansion. I just would want it to be SP focused because as much as I'd probably enjoy it, I will probably never play FE multiplayer, it is a matter of time. I have time in 1 hour increments or smaller, and I just won't have the time to dedicate to a game. It's a shame and I don't begrudge people that want to play FE as a MP game, I just won't be one. Hopefully, I can make mods that the MP community will like though. :)
Got some banner ideas up for elves in the expanded banners post. Let me know if you like any of them or would like something else entirely.
Ok, here are a few ideas that I came up with. Let me know if you like some parts of one and just want tweaks or if they just don't fit what you are looking for. <img style="float: left;" src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12727985/Elf%20Logos/el
Sure, let me give it a go.
hound, the changes you list are all part of the normal beta process. You have to go to extremes in this process to find what will really work. This may be the right game for you but you may enjoy it more if you wait until the release when all the balancing and polishing has been done. You have valid feedback, but your presentation is definitely lacking. We want to know what you think and many of us might agree with your points, b
I use all the parts of the mod. I would love more races of course (elves and gnomes sound great), and more champions. Quests would also be a nice addition, but as I am waiting for the super spreadsheet before I add my own I don't really expect you to add them now either. Your direction seems great as you have laid it out. (even though frost giants are my favorite :) )
When you fail the monster is released on the main map. I kinda like that. Also I love that it is random as to whether you fight the spider or not.
I was just going to make this bug report. This needs to be accurate as we keep debating with new users who don't know that Stardock typically leaves challenging as the non-cheating AI, despite what the tooltip says. Also, suggestion - somehow link the world difficulty to the AI difficulty, or at least put an AI difficulty button on the main settings page, so that people don't choose challenging world, and still get Easy AI'
Probably should fix the tooltip on the world difficulty to alleviate the confusion about challenging vs normal etc.. In fact I'll go make a bug report. :)
