I, at least, don't say it because I feel it's idolatry. The supreme Court says I don't have to say it, and in fact says I can't be required to say it either. For drmiller, Idolatry, as I and many others define, includes swearing an oath to an inanimate object, i.e. and idol. You may not consider the flag an idol, but then what is an idol?
