Please post your debug.err files when you encounter this, it may give some clues.

Try disabling adaptive AA in the ATI CCC.
Card Name: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
You're using the Windows generic video driver, which doesn't support 3D of any kind. Assuming you have a video card capable of running the game, you'll need to install the appropriate driver for it, though if Windows hasn't picked it up on its own it will need to be done manually. If you're not comfortable with identifying your video card and downloading the correct driver, you may want to seek local tech help for that.
I know it's a beta, but unless you over bitch about things that are wrong with the game, nothing will be done about it.
Not true. Civil, constructive feedback is what makes progress. In any case, there's no need to be tossing insults over it.
1. My game crashes every time on Summer 186 AC. Dont know why.
Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via [link="http://pastebin.ca"]pastebin[/link]. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug
Theoretically you should be able to disable prerelease, shift-right click the game and verify, but I'm not certain if that'll remove any additional files that were added so you could wind up with a hybrid as far as XML goes. If there aren't any added files though it should fully replace any that are different.
Derek is using paragraph breaks there rather than html list elements. However if you wish to override the styles (be it those or any), there are tools available such as greasemonkey for firefox that can do that.
If you can reproduce this from the last autosave, please upload it somewhere and link it--otherwise, any dump zip that was generated would be helpful as well.
For the white screen, try disabling adaptive AA in the ATI CCC. For the poly corruption, some users experiencing that have reported that clearing out their drivers with a driver cleaner app and reinstalling a previous version helped.
Well, we are back to the egg-kip problem already post before... something can impacts the consumer market only if consumer have interest in it...
Consumers don't need to have interest in it. Microsoft and the OEMs just need to start pushing x64 as the baseline on any machine that supports it and keep x86 to only preinstalls on machines that can't. It's something long overdue, honestly. Virtually all desktop systems sold for several years now have been x64 capable.
If there was a dump zip created in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic on Windows XP), please post it via [link="http://www.drop.io"]drop.io[/link].
Are you using a proxy?
The debug.err file will be in My Documents/My Games/Elemental, not in the game's own folder--if it's getting far enough to blank the screen, there should definitely be a debug.err file there.
Make sure that you have show prerelease versions enabled in the Impulse menu.
Make sure you've got the show prerelease versions option checked in the Impulse menu.
If there was an issue with the VC++ install, you might try installing the redistributable directly from Microsoft (make sure to grab the appropriate one for your version of Windows).
Are you sure the board supports more than 2gb?
Not yet. AFAIK we're planning on doing a demo based on the 1.1 update once that's finished.
If you're buying the game off Impulse, you must provide payment and account information to complete the purchase. If you're buying at retail, you do not need to register or activate unless you want updates. Nothing requires you to provide true information, and a free email will work fine, but if you give bogus details you can expect difficulties should you ever need to recover a lost account. In any case, if you're using the forums, you've already given all the information you
I know this was over and settled, but I don't care. I almost fell on the floor from laughing when I read that you were being reported for using the word **** on an internet forum. If there was any hint that you were being malicious in your use of it, I might understand. But otherwise it's bullshit, as you were really just making funnies.
What you think is funny is not the measure of what's acceptable. The game is rated T, so let's keep the forums in line with that and k
Do you have experience with Impulse and this issue? I realize Steam is pretty not compatible with anything that is not Steam, but I got the impression Impulse works since Impulse installs to the actual directory yes?
Retail/download expansion compatibility varies. You can contact support to be certain before making a purchase.
You can just upload it to pastebin.ca and post the link in a reply here.
Is it completely unresponsive or the turn just won't complete? In the latter case, it's usually due to a boat or other unit getting stuck while on autoexplore. Moving any units that still have yellow borders in the list at left of the screen should let the game move on in that case. Otherwise, please post your debug.err file after this happens.
Yup, same as now, just issue an attack order on empty map and your units will attack anything they come across along the way.
It appears your UI screens are corrupted. Try clearing out the C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic\Screens folder, and failing that, reinstall the game.
