If you order a box from us you'll get the US/NA box shipped upon release (usually Collector's Edition, but that'll be decided later). If you get the download only, there's not much need to burn it. You don't get an ISO image, so you could just as well use a USB drive to store it away or just rely on the download (no limits).

Animated avatars are not permitted. Sorry thrawn, but I've gotta ask you to change it.
I think asking something indirect through which the information can be gained doesn't violate the NDA.
We have asked the alpha testers to not disclose their status. Though it is not explicitly a clause in the NDA, they will be removed from the alpha if they do so (actual NDA violations would be more unpleasant). As slipping up would be bad for anyone who is testing, I'd ask that people don't try probing others for clues. You might get some small pleasure from t
Arguing about the game is fine Hortz, but either get along with other users or you're gone.
Yeah, we'll add a beta reports category when the time comes.
Fortunately for the rest of the world, your personal likes and dislikes are not the definition of good and bad.
The general beta won't have an NDA. However the alpha will and any other "special" testing phases (which may or may not involve the same group) most likely will.
Is this some IRC gossip you caught? We have no assigned moderators for Elemental yet, and I've long been fretting that these boards will lack Kryo's deservedly-paid presence when the teeming masses start pouring in their posts.
It's not and they won't. The "moderator" list at the bottom of the forum listings is basically a formality/convenience. The only significant function it really has is determining who gets the emails from the report function. But since I noticed t
When did this happen? I hope that it isn't one of those legal thingies you can't sign if you're a minor.....
An NDA is a legal contract and if you're a minor, it'd take special accomodations to do it. For legal simplicity, is is likely that if you did get picked the offer may simply be withdrawn. It's hard to say exactly how that might go.
(or even that we're under NDA, which I guess means that once somebody has signed the NDA he or she won't be able to
Well, 7 days is august 6... wasn't announced for that date in a thread some weeks ago? Just a confirmation (weather pending).
Yup.
Uncharged preorders are just queued up for the sales department; nothing is actually linked to your Impulse account until it gets charged. If you want to doublecheck it, contact .
If your bank has failed to release the hold after it was not acted upon, you should contact them about that (hold policies vary from bank to bank). No actual charge has been made.
Oh how nasty it'd be if someone swooped in and posted after the thread was locked.
You're forgetting the part where I can delete posts ;)
*considers posting "I win" and locking the thread*
I hadn't noticed the other junk threads littered with links to his and his friends websites that he'd made over the weekend, but as someone brought them to my attention and he'd been warned about it before, he has been Visitored across the board for spamming.
2) "Fan Submissions" sub-category of "Sins of a Solar Empire" does not show up on the home page like the others. [not yet fixed, same thing with this sub-board]
It's intentional. Only the more commonly used categories are put on the front page to reduce clutter. Brad or Zoomba typically decides which ones will appear there.
The Elemental beta got pushed back since the senior devs had to be pulled over to Demigod for the past month or two.
There actually is a "view all user's replies" option, but it's restricted to moderators only. Not entirely sure why, though.
Brad's posted several journals in the past few weeks--that's the section to keep watch on.
Considering Brad plugged it himself once over on GC2...
A pirate distro with a bunch of preloaded pirated software.
Or could it be any time in the day?
This, pretty much. Nobody wants to be up at midnight, so typically things simply are made available as soon as they've been uploaded to the servers, which usually ends up being sometime in the afternoon.
conflict with each other. Now tell me this so I get this right which is it?
No, they don't. Basically, don't post anything obscene or illegal. We don't own the stuff that people post, and we're not responsible if someone does post something bad. That is not to say that we won't try to remove such obscene or illegal things, which we will. In any case, those TOS are for wincustomize (skin/theme uploading in particular), not necessarily the forums at
Stardock's games often just don't work in wine. But 'Sins' has gold rating and apparently is easy to emulate.
As Sins was developed by Ironclad, it doesn't use a lot of the things that are common to all of our games (we use DesktopX for the UIs, for instance) that may not play well under emulation. So it's more likely that Elemental's compatibility would be more similar to GC2.
I dont remember EB games very well, but were they big on PC gaming? I know Gamestop isnt.
Side note, EB still exists, they're just a subsidiary of GS now. So the stores are basically identical.
