Updated roundup for .804 release weekend.
You did not create a new thread before now. If you encounter a new issue, you need to create a new thread--if you bump a thread from an older build with a report of a different issue, it will very likely be overlooked.
Have you tried updating your video drivers? This is the only report I've seen of this issue (and 16:10 displays are very common).
Game-in-game is not supported in beta 2 (we're reworking the cleanup code). Make sure to always restart the game before loading a save or starting a new map.
Several users have reported inexplicable performance issues and CPU maxing in this build; this is probably what you're experiencing.
Revived land does have a slight green tint on the cloth map.
There are some equipment options to choose from in the appearance tab. The core sovereigns just get special unique items not available to anyone else.
Please provide your debug.err file as noted in the reporting sticky.
Brad was referring to the point where we stopped releasing beta builds to the public testers. They can continue playing the outdated build up to release, though.
Please post your debug.err file as noted in the reporting sticky.
It's linked in that very same thread that you asked to be updated. Half the replies on the thread are notices indicating that a new round of reports was added. Rule #1 of forums: nobody reads the stickies :p
I see several posts about the same thing and other posts that report a bug from an older version that may get ignored because the thread title lists the old version number.
If you bump a thread from the same beta series (such as .802,
If you haven't, try disabling anti-aliasing and advanced lighting.
The issue is that shift-selected units behave as individuals, rather than as a stack. So if you need to split a stack with escorted NPCs in it, you need to remove the other units from the stack, rather than the NPC and its escort. And yeah, we do need to find a better way to handle that.
Do you have a savegame for this so the devs can easily reproduce the situation where the pathing breaks?
If pastebin is not available, you can use dropbox or other text hosting sites.
Do you have an autosave that reproduces this crash?
Do you have an autosave that this can be reproduced from?
Game-in-game is currently supposed to be disabled, as the cleanup code needs reworked. So yes, please make sure that you restart the game before starting a new map.
At what point exactly does it crash? The debug.err file you provided shows the game exited normally. Please submit subsequent files via dropbox or similar direct-download hosting. Free sites with speedbumps, captchas, and download limits make it more difficult to get the files (more so when it's in another language).
Many improvements do not have their final models implemented (nor will they) in the beta, so this is as intended.
As savegame/repro for this would be helpful (particularly in recreating the distortion around that mountain).
If nothing else, the 1-4 keys will set the view to preset angles as in GC2.
This debug.err file shows a normal exit, no crash--are you sure you grabbed it right after the crash? It is overwritten each time you start the game.
