AFAIK the demon only casts his spell once per combat. So it's tough, but hardly unwinnable if you've got group units (just don't have any weak heroes there).
and Infernal, misses 66% of the time making its AOE useless ... yea, I've never once hit more than one target with Infernal, which is over twice as expensive as Arcane Arrow.
Magic is subject to defense. Strong enemies are best fought with swarms of units, rather than nuked down.
Also it seems padded armour costs more than leather? Such as the chest piece which is ten compared to the leather which is 4. Or was it 5? Same difference though.
That's correct. Since they have the same armor value, leather (being higher tech) is just cheaper. I do expect it's easier to cut a hunk of leather, strap it to a mold, and boil it than it is to sew an entire set of armor, after all :p
Beta saves are not compatible with final--go ahead and delete them. Campaign saves are stored separately and can be loaded from the campaign screen. As to the tactical issue, did the screen go white?
Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.
If you accidentally got a double order somehow, contact and they'll get it squared away.
Camapaign saves are stored separately from sandbox saves. When you go to the campaign screen there'll be a list of saves right there from the campaign that you can load. Otherwise, you can go ahead and delete your beta saves. They will not be compatible with the final version.
It depends upon the sorts of changes made in a particular update. As savegames store the data they're started with, that mostly boils down to mechanical changes or anything affecting internal data structures. So not always, but I wouldn't rely on it.
Sorry, my reply was directed at Gnrl.
The fourth is the Master Quest (through Adventure research and doing a long quest chain). If you're looking for tips, make sure that you have Janusk's advice enabled in the options and recruit him when he appears at the start of the game.
I also had a DirectX crash-to-desktop when I tried to alt-tab out and back in. Otherwise I'd be using exact names for things in this post.
This issue reappeared with some ATI cards after fixing another i
It'd be a good idea to update your video drivers at the least, as they're eight months old.
There's an issue with older nVidia drivers that can cause this, and yours are from January--try updating to current.
As race creation was more complex than sovereign creation (and we'd like to expand it further), it was moved into the realm of modding. AFAIK we're planning to have a workshop for it in the future.
Did you download directly on both machines or did you use an archive? Do you have any security software on the laptop that's not on the desktop that might be interfering?
It seems that the orders are going by type, then date. We're starting in on boxed orders now, back to the oldest (download-only orders should all be processed now).
Podcasts? Can you be more specific as to what you're talking about?
Is it within your area of influence and are you choosing the fertile land and using the build button there? They no longer build from the city menu as they did during the beta.
If you mean the confirmation from when you placed the order, you should receive an actual receipt email once you're charged within the next few hours. The game should appear in Impulse at that point.
You'll want to choose the download archive option rather than the standard install. You can then install via the restore archive option, and copy the archive off to do the same elsewhere. If you do not have internet access at home, you should use Impulse Anywhere to download instead.
As for the not being able to fight the widows in single player, i have the swords icon above them but am unable to actually fight.
Did you buy and equip weapons? There should be messages directing you to that effect when you start your city.
Any orders placed before we start running the charge queue once the build goes live should get it tonight.
The beta keys are disabled until we get the early access build up tonight. The game will reappear in Impulse for you once we get there.
just checking time relative to kryo
It's currently 10pm here. ETA for the build has been pushed to around 11pm.
Where is this elemental chat and how do I become a part of it
irc.stardock.com #elemental, via Impulse, Mibbit , or any other IRC client.
i pre ordered at game stop.......is there any way thats good for the download tonight?
No, as the serial key is in your box you'll need it in hand in order to download.
