Updated to most recent AlLanMandragoran thread and added suicidal sovereign 1.19d fix. And I think I've forgotten to mention that sovereigns, spouses and champions aren't getting stat increases or new gear properly. It would be nice if someone could take a look at that. Pretty demand? [e digicons][/e] for your optimism RavenX! I hope you're right. Note that the battle AIs for the demo may be somewhat scripted.
Good stuff, Alstein. Simple is good in my opinion. Maybe simply having a lower stack limit than now, and heroes adding Cha/5 to the limit?

Hi I've lately been wondering if a 'command limit' kind of thing would be beneficial for Elemental. By a command limit I guess I mean something similar to a stack limit. Many strategy games have ways to limit the amount of stacked units. Some work better than others. Sword of the Stars uses command ships that have limits in how many active ships can be engaged at the same time. Disciples has a very definite limit to how many units can be with a hero. MoM had a stacking limit.
I have high hopes though as they're saying the battle AI in this version was somehow modeled after Sun Tzu's "The Art of War".
Funny actually I would say it's much higher quality than the usual Stardock game. Meaning that it is an attempt to get into a different league than the usual "fun but low budget strategy game" (at least that's the perception I have always had of Stardock games). Problem is that it is just not quite there yet. It will be eventually (unless they run out of money while trying)
I guess it's a matter of defini
I would wait and see how the first expansion is received. It's a stand-alone game, so no reason to purchase E:WoM before it. While E:WoM has come a long way since it's release, it's still not near other Stardock games in quality.
Great work as always AlLanMandragoran! I updated the top link of Community Confirmed to your newest thread. Glad to see other factions fixed. Have you tried another game to see if it's again just Umber that's smoking weed? [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]
I think some of the name calling may have come from your posting the link to this same thread, not the update thread. Seemed a bit like you were just being annoyed and non-constructive. Either that or a very nasty place for a copy&paste mistake. I'm with Lord Xia on this one: two pleases and a thanks is a lot more than you'd expect from an average poster. And Light was just making a little fun - I'm assuming innocence on the link unless he says otherwise. [e digicons];)[/e]

Thanks citywolfdreams! I'll add your AI observations from the post. And don't worry about forum protocol, you're doing just fine. We're all newbies here, I just registered in 2003 [e digicons];)[/e]
I think you can already toggle it off in the options. "Auto select next unit" or some such. It will also affect the strategic map, though. Pressing tab for next available unit works pretty well there.
Since it's difficult to notice activity on the Demandobot thread edits, here's a summary of what is deemed important right now. Most problematic issues AI won't equip new items. If they hire champions, they will never have better equipment than what they start with. AI does not take stat upgrades at level-up In a game which is about the sovereign, it's a bit off-putting that the enemy
Great stuff AlLanMandragoran! I won't be copying everything to the list, I'll just keep your thread link on top of Community Confirmed list to make sure it's seen. I've got a "Top Priority" list on top of everything else. Right now the champion problems are there because it seems like the AI is not handling AI levels and equipment at all. Personally I believe right after that should come strategic AI stuff you're exploring and the tactical AI targetting a single unit and forgetting ev

You can bypass the error message by pressing 'esc'.
Nope, it was the 3D version. I've been trying to play on a secondary laptop, but so far I've never managed even 20 turns due to various crashes. Curiously, though, the laptop that has far older hardware than my main computer is running the game a lot more fluently. With my high-end tabletop PC, the game feels like trying to run in water. So it's either stability or performance for me...
I was moving my units around the strategic map and got a CTD. Wasn't really doing anything special. Just have one town, sovereign and Janusk. debug err here . error zip file here . Don't think there was anything special regarding the game itself, but here 's the most re
Same error here. Got only a few turns in. Never seen it before 1.19a. I didn't alt-tab myself, but windows firewall flared up at that point and switched over to desktop. Got the error at that point.
Thank you both. I'll update the thread a bit later. On the road right now..
Does anyone know if the AI tagging got fixed in 1.19a?
Shield/1h-handed items on the list. I put it directly to confirmed side since I've seen it discussed before. [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]
