I have heard reports that SD rushed the release of the game by.... um... 2 days... because retailers broke the street date.&nb

And most of the points made by the reviewers have been raised on this forum. Then explain to us why on earth Stardock would give the reviewers a build that the customers do not. That actually makes things sound even fishier. If it was so robust why did it not ship that way? However, I am sticking to the n

I mentioned this elsewhere, but I think Stardock's problem at the moment is that they're now a rookie player in the big leagues (thanks to Sins of Solar Empire's widespread popularity) but they're

For those that refuse to see any criticism as other than heresy: Here is the thing, when someone with an ID number as low as Dethedrus has concerns it is best to take them very seriously. Folks like him are key core customers who do a lot of leg work, heavy lifti

Not only is there no mechanical difference, but you'll so very rarely see the graphical one too. I loved how in MoM your race choice really changed things. Stuff like Draconians flew and breathed fire, Dark Elves all could shoot magic, Halflings were lucky, and so on. Having innate bonuses for each race would help in making faction creation a little bit more interesting. And if y

Methinks he needs to hit the books and look up the definition of a troll. I must warn him that he may only find his own picture on that page! Agree with the Op but I would really argue that the base game needs a lot more customization rather than leaving it to modders. The ATK vs DEF unified stat system is far too simple to ever give decent deep tactical combat or even varied army building strategy. GalCiv has a deeper damage and defense structure simply with the basic 3 types of weapons and defenses and this structure is what makes the unit design not just useful, but fun. &nbs

What do you guys think about this?[/quote] This is a mistake and it should go by figure in the stack. Further DEF as one unified stat has *got* to go. You will never have "deep combat" with ATK/DEF vanilla. We need the piercing/slashing/blunt/fire/ice/water/air/poison/etc... vareig
