Maybe this is a dumb question but is there any way to see how big an army you can have? (without just randomly adding characters/warriors until someone can't be added) If not, it would be nice to have that listed somewhere, or maybe an icon that comes up that indicates you've reached you're limit?

Looking back on the save game, it looks like the problem is that there is a tower built right next to (or on?) the city.
My desktop resolution is 1920 x 1080. Whenever I set the game's resolution to 1920 x 1080, it will work in that resolution after I restart. However, the next time I restart the game it defaults to 1080 x 768. This also happens when I directly edit prefs.ini and/or settings.ini. Any other resolution below 1920 x 1080 seems to 'stick'. This only happens when I am running the game in User mode(my normal mode). This doesn't happen when running as an admin. Also, the 'Desktop&#
After my army conquers Rilkaz the opposing faction somehow ends up with one of their armies standing directly on top of the newly conquered city. I've tested this with both Autoresolve, and playing out the tactical battle. [Save] [Debug] <
Maybe it would be possible to scale the cost with the level of difficulty? That way novice players would get to go nuts with the spell but as they moved up in difficulty they would have to rely on it less & less.
Act I is where you’re exploring the world, founding cities, dealing with the monsters.
Right now Act I lasts all of 10 seconds (or however long it takes to load the world map). The game practically starts in Act II mode...

I think it might help the developers more if you could list the specific expectations you had going into this. The things you're mentioning sound more like play balance issues and/or bugs; i.e. things that (hopefully) won't be issues in the polished/finished product.

I say, do make this your new bible! (or, at least, a sizable portion of it)
I wonder if the seeming excess food problem depends on your approach to the game. I tend to stick to just a few cities, or just one early on, and never thought excess food was an issue. I always want more. More prestige, more food, more growth. I guess I tend to fall into the "builder" camp. If wonder if this is an issue for the expander/war mongers, who never reach the pop cap (I'm constantly running into it, and trying to get past it).
It might not be a bad idea to have two versions: Lesser Maul & Greater Maul, so that low level monsters/characters can still be somewhat badass but not overpowering.
Other posts seem to have similar problems with ATI based systems freezing. However, I thought I'd be as detailed about what's happening for me, in case it helps. The game will start out just fine and I'd be able to get into a Sandbox game with no problem (haven't tried anything else yet). It plays great and there are no issues (Although I did have to reduce the resolution to the same one I use for Civ 4). At some point I'll play out several tactical battles. The battles
