With the newest iteration of the Beta quickly approaching, I think it would be a good idea to revisit this thread. Right now, the mindset seems to be "Benefecial Tiles need to convey a bonus". Why can't we have tiles that also convey something negative? For example, the new bees tile could attract bears. Or even better, giant killer-bee death swarms. These negative apsects need not necessarily be limited to roving units being attracted to the tile. Tiles

I have Impulse installed on more than one machine. Up till now I've been rating games haphazardly, with the result being that I have different ratings across all the machines. How does this new system take that into account? Are my ratings now stored on your servers, and if not would it be possible to have ratings saved to my account instead of stored locally? Are we perhaps going to get customer reviews as well at some future point?

Options for the random map generator are nice, but being able to mod the random map generator would be awesome.

I was always a more of a fan of Outpost 2 myself.

I mentioned it because Nexus the Jupiter Incident originally started out as... Imperium Galactica 3.

READ BEFORE POSTING - Beta Reporting Guide Specifically, some sort of information would be useful. A debug.err. Did you report to FogBugz? If so, what's the ticket ID?
I know you're fully aware, but this is for everyone else out there who is not. [PERFORMANCE] 2560 x 1600 not working properly
I'm not sure I like this either. I have zero problem with the game ending because my Sovereign dies. Making an evade system for whether or not my Sovreign lives or dies and having possibly hidden modifiers sounds very confusing. Perhaps you can handle it like HOMM, and simply have the option to run away present when your Sovereign is at risk. Running away would sacrifice everything else (stacked units, cities, etc) to get your Sovereign to the nearest friendly town o

I guess this goes here, as it's the only font related post I could find in the roundup . Specifically, the fonts are not installed in 0.24. The scout is completely missing attribute text, and the advanced selection screen for factions also has alignement issues. I will be reinstalling the game to determine if this will fix the problem. <a href="http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/3493/eleme
After having done this, I couldn't go back to any other faction. I selected every other faction, and then finally selected Altar. Game still started up as Fallen.
You are playing as the sovereign. You don't even have to build cities with your essense, that's just one of your tools to defeat other Sovereigns. If you want to it should be a viable play option to never build a city. If your player character dies, you die. Why exactly is this a bad thing? You (as the Sovereign) spent your essence to build your empire. You didn't spend the essence of your 'dynasty'. Finally, as the Sovere
[quote quoting="post"]... we are pretty sure that the odds of the game physically damaging your computer are way down now (probably less than 1 out of 3). Secondly, most of the profanity has been removed except from the technology descriptions and tool tips where we are still working to reduce that to a level where at least the expletives form a grammatically correct sentence. Third, the root kit and spyware that beta 1 had in it has been mostly taken out. While the game loadi
To be clear, is this /fastload parameter merely removing things from loading that are only in Beta for debugging purposes?
