This seems to be a complete 180 from stardock's original position on humanoid aliens, wich seems to be if I remember correctly, NO HUMANOIDS (cept hunams) in the game! When did this change, and why? I mean, I personally don't particularly care on this point, but I am as curious as heck as to the reasoning behind this change. Mind you, I could have simply missed the official explanation, in wich case if someone could link it, I would be immensely grateful.

I could not agree more. Personality is a key component in the Star Control multiverse. I think we can all remember where we were when we first met Fwiffo! Now he is a great example of what can be accomplished through personalizing dialogue. I hope this post attracts more attention.

Nothing major yet, more keys should be on thire way rather soon, the most important updates have been about some discussed ship designs between those who already have keys. Hopefully you'll be added soon! You've already sent the frog a Skype add request right?

Hi, I am the Ur-quan Master. I am a loyal fan of the SC2 games, in fact I grew up with them! Not the way that your thinking though. I just barely turned 18 this year, and I have been loyally playing and following the star control fan base since I was 10. I began to worry when I saw it begin to stagnate, swallowed by the ever progressing waves of time. But low and behold, a sequel! The moment I saw that there was a way to apply for the

Hmm. Thank you for clearing my fears! Are you completely sure that the ability to play as another races ship has been preserved? It was the overall tone of the entire pdf section on super melee that scared me. And the fact that this ability has been neither confirmed nor denied. I do, however, deeply wish for you to be right.

"We realized that the game was going to sink or swim based on its single player based Super Melee and we found it super frustrating to rely on up to 2 AI controlled “allies” to help you out. Every AI thinks its Leroy Jenkins at one point of other. So it’s a 1 on 1 affair, similar to the classic series." Wait, what about playing as your allied races ships?! The coolest part of the Star Controls franchise was playing as not only your flagshi

Greetings, Lifetime Founder! Thank you for your support of Star Control. The time for you to make your mark on the universe has arrived - that's right, it's time to name a planet! In order to submit, you must be logged in with the Stardock account that you purchased the Founder's Lifetime Edition with. While we encourage silly and wild names (this is Star Control, after all), we ask that you please use your best judgment when submitt

My request to the developers is thus. I know we get to name planets. But past that?... Let's say the name I chose is Volcana, which is (obviously) supposed to be a name for a volcanic world (at least in my mind). Then the game comes out. I go and find my planet, and it turns out that it was algorithmically assigned to an ice world. Is there any way that as well as naming planets, we get a few options as well? Like "check box of desired planet type here" or "click here if you

I must say that this update makes this game seem very promising. The music is amazing! So much nostalgia. On the subject of racial music.... It must be a part of the game! It was one of the coolest aspects of SC2 and without it, I fear that dialog just won't be as cool. Nothing conveys what you have to expect from the race better. For example, let's say you enter XRAKI space. The music is sinister. It makes

Just as we were arguing back in the planet desighn form (man that was a long time ago) that the planets were too cartoony, I feel that some of the alien designs are not cartoony enough. The mukay is the best of what Ive seen, hitting the stride of both cartoony and realistic perfectly. I realize that this might just be me seeing the concept art and going, "oh no that looks horrid!" But the Tywom looks far to, realistic, and the colors just don't seem to... pop enough for lack of a better
