How can I get my group of units (or just one unit) to move more squares on the map? For some reason my Sovereign can move 4 squares on the map, but once in a group only 2. I have bought boots that give more movement, but I can still only move 2 squares. Seems like it only counts for movement in tactical battle, and not the map...is this true?
I believe there is a Sovereign trait that allows the units grou

You can always find them in the "Journals" section of the Elemental website. You may need to scroll through the first page and/or click back a page or two to find various patch notes, but they are there. https://www.elementalgame.com/journals --- Just out of curiosity, where are you reading the Elemental forum posts from? The Impulse site or the Elemental site? Not all of the Elemental sub categorie

Builds can end up taking days of time. Movements and attacks can depend on fleet composition, techs, and how far away they are. Was a fun game but when I started planning attacks, factoring in drive times, checking on my stuff every 30 minutes, taking "catnaps" and setting

Unless you are some kind of strategy savant, you'll get your butt kicked by the AI for quite a while At some point, you'll be better than the AI, but you'll have gotten your money's worth by then. And then you can try multi-player if you wa
King's Bounty & Armored Princess expansion- This is basically HoMM with a focus on Hero development and no castle management. It's a little easier than HoMM because you don't have to worry about that stupid scout hero that's flagging all of your mines behind your lines and it's a little more pure tactics rather than grand strategy. It has a much stronger focus on story (and it's actually pretty good), but overall it's a
I love the progress on this FAQ. I was just skimming through it and learned a couple things I wasn't aware of. Something I wanted to add in regards to the question "Why is it sometimes I cannot talk to other champions to hire them?". It may be obvious to some, but you need to have your Sovereign as your currently selected unit. If you had clicked on something else and try to click on the champion the talk option won't be available. If you click on the Sovereign
Hey, even for people who purchased the game and decided to stick with it, at some point real life (and/or other games) are going to get in the way. Wouldn't be a bad thing to get an email when a major milestone has been reached. If they really want to show commitment to the long term support of the game, one thing that could be done is add another mailing list option specifically for Elemental. Send out monthly (?) updates for the next few months summarizing the progress of
I played HOMM V again for a few hours this past weekend. It's enjoyable, I don't really have any complaints about it, but it just leaves me wanting to play something much larger or more epic. I have both of the King's Bounty, Legend and AP, but haven't put much time into them. Dominions 3 still has my curiosity. One possible negative for me is that I prefer SP so I've been slightly concerned where I've been reading about people saying MP is where the game is really f

I'm sure there must have been somewhat of an increase in sales for these other games in the past few weeks. Shrapnel games had a promotion on their website for Domin

I had downloaded the 1.06 patch (after reading the patch notes), ran into the issue of not being able to move units and followed the work around to get it to work. The next day I applied the hotfix not thinking that between the 1.06 patch and the hotfix that they were going to make save games unplayable. I didn't think to read the hotfix notes cause I figured it was simply implementing the work around for people, not making it impossible to play a saved game. To find out tha

A few people have mentioned Dominions 3 the past couple of weeks. At first I didn't know what it was but curiosity got the best of me. I've found myself checking it a few times. From some of the reviews it sounds decent. I'm wondering for those of you who have played it, how much fun is it? Do you find yourself going back to it or have you lost interest in it? I have the demo d/l and getting ready to install it but I'd appreciate hearing opinions
What about Dominion 3?

What if the AI had the resources to support all of it's units and lost a city? I don't think it makes you disband units if you don't have enough money, does it? What if you were just breaking even, built a new unit that now puts you in a deficit? Maybe the AI just kept building and building until the last finished unit put it in a deficit and then it was just cumulative since that point? Although seeing that the wages are at 346 and the income is small, they ar

Good effort. The blue is a tad harsh on the eyes though. Keep in mind that this appears on different sites w/ different backgrounds. So while the blue looks okay on the white background when you're looking at the darker background on the elemental website the contrast makes it a bit harsh on the eyes. I think you'd be better of just making the question the default color and bold it, maybe a larger font if you can get it to work. Impulse website: <a hr
