I work a lot in database administration and previously had a CEO that liked to log in behind my back and delete things he thought were 'not really needed'. Yes. My gold mine was well within my territory and it was destroyed. I took my sovereign with a bunch of units to destroy their gold mines. When I was on top of the gold mine, there no option. I checked all of the sovereign's actions and didn't see anything that would allow me to destroy it.
Excellent question. The bastards destroyed my gold mine but I was unable to retaliate in kind. So instead I took over their city. [e digicons][/e] Seriously, I'd like to know.

Unless there are other tags I should be looking for, I think there are only 24 quests which is why you're not seeing a lot of variation. All of them being located in the "Core Quests" folder. Quest_EscortNobleman1.xml(9): Quest_EscortNoblewoman1.xml(9): <Q
Firstly, I'd like to see the team post a complete list of the changes they intend to make to turn Elemental into a "fantastic game" instead of a patchwork of good ideas executed badly. And by complete list, I mean exhaustive detail. If you revise the combat mechanics, post the complete revised system so those of us who care to, can examine how and if it works.
^ THIS I hope that before they start making changes that they com

At least that's my theory based upon the existence of "spouse units" in the CoreUnits.xml file and the fact that I've seen kids born within the very first few turns of the game.
I kept checking back and their servers finally came back up. I downloaded it from here, or at least found the link to download... Civilization Fanatics' Forums - Downloads Database - Fall from Heaven II http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1 ... which points to here (which is what was down). I think it looks better too. Kudos so far.
So far I'm really liking the look of it without the outlines. The game also feels much better performance wise. Two thumbs up so far. Try unchecking "Enable Auto Saves" under your Game options and see if that helps. If it does, you can do quick saves using CTRL+S. That seems to have reduced the end of turn pauses I was experiencing. I would gladly trade a longer time between saves for not having to experience the pauses every turn. So put that down on the wishlist - allowing a user to define the number of turns between saves. :)

I'm glad my daughter doesn't read these forums cause otherwise she'd be begging me to buy them. However those are very good sale prices and the fact they're part of the "Play for the Cause" charity drive has got me thinking about it.
The positive out of Elemental in the state that it's in, I now have even more game choices now than I have time to play them. Wish I would have known about these months ago. Would have saved me from spending money on Starcraft II and a few other games. SC2 is a decent game and all. I enjoyed the campaign but after that I was done with it. Main reason I bought it and others was because I was bored
Thank you to you and the rest of the team. It's much appreciated.
I think Froboy's reply (#45) here is important and I only found it linked through another thread. A statement like that should be an independent post and not embedded as a reply in a post. I'm not saying he's trying to hide it, just saying I think it's simple, straight forward, honest, and blunt; I appreciate and respect that, I think everybody else in the forums would appreciate knowing it's there as well.[/q
I'm thinking the vacation was probably a good thing. It's probably allowed you time to reflect on the situation due to your limited connection. Had you been home, it's likely you would have reacted by doing more coding and not come to the realization you have now as to the state of the game. You should focus on the rest of your vacation, spend time with your wife. When you get back, take your team out to dinner. I'm sure they could use the appreciation after th

Thank you for the screenshots. It looks like there are a lot of similarities. Your search window has more tabs though. :) Nice write-up about Eclipse.

Agreed. The quests concept in this game is really cool.

If they continue then the Elemental modding community will likely be stifled before it can really be explored, discovered, and populated with talented people. Elemental modding needs more positive feedback, support, and more thanks..
Thank you for your time and effort. Now can
