Personally speaking, I feel like too many games come out these days to be “consumed” and then moved onto. As an “old time” gamer, I want to have a game that I’m playing for years and years to come. That’s why updating the AI matters so much to me because the AI needs to get better over time to keep up with players.
That's something I love about games like Elemental, Civilization, Europa Universalis, etc.&nbs
Thus most of us aren't surprised nor care about you releasing another bug ridden incomplete game (only this time you cant blame gpg).
You don't care but yet you took time to post? /confused
This really is amazing that this can be done with the game's built-in editors and doesn't require 3d modeling skills to create them. Many games don't make these tools available or they aren't released right away. This is really cool.
I can dig your reticence. However, I'm the opposite. Cities aren't invalidated because oil or uranium pops up across the globe, it just gives me a reason to negotiate for said resources, or build an army and go fetch them. Another layer of strategy besides just endlessly stockpiling a mountain of resources I camped out on during the Cryptozooic era.
That is so true. Using oil as an example, when oil was discovered and a use wa
Excellent post. Looking forward to the months ahead.
I am playing a female sov, got married asap. I am traveling with the husband. Why? Because you didn't tell him to stay home to cook, clean, and watch the children. 2. Killing a sov out of his turf -> he dies permanently, however all of his cities vanish! even the ones he got from me. That seriously blows. Why would the people disappear. I understand people giving up hope, blah, blah, blah, but to completely desert
To access the equipment screen, click on the sword shield "button" to the left of your Hit Points. It's the similar to how you access your spell book by clicking the square spellbook button to the left of your Sovereign's mana bar.
Aye, just wanted to post that as well. Yesterday I had my full army in a battle and one of my soldiers was placed right next to the enemy and didn't stand a chance. All the others were 4-5 Tiles behind him as they should be, but there also sometimes the archers are in front whereas the heavy protected guards are in the back...
If they could get this system worked out, it would be an interesting twist for there to be a chance y
I have extra HP when I have units stationed in a town. Nothing explains why.
Day 0 patch notes: + Outposts and such now provide +HP to units stationed Granted, it would be helpful to have something in the game that informs the player. Maybe something in the Hiergameon, the city screen, or a tooltip or some note on the unit card.
Even 5 points seems a bit steep. Raising an attribute for 3 or a spear for 5? Equipment just doesn't seem worth the investment. Maybe a set of starter equipment would be tempting. Otherwise you can just run around and quickly grab goodies lying around the map and buy something nice.
When the building queue is empty it would be helpful for it to display a message stating that no more buildings are in the queue once the last item has been built. I like the addition of the red exclamation marks that were added to indicate the resources could be built upon. (yeah, I'm lazy)
Was thinking the same thing earlier today. [suggestion] Tactical Battles - unit starting placements / positions https://forums.elementalgame.com/391961
LOL! Guess we'll need to carry an extra red shirt in our Army. * points to a red shirted peon * You, go attack that city. * peon bursts into flames* Damn, guess they have a good guardian.
I like the auto turn, but I'd love it if there was an option to not end the turn if there are units that haven't moved (or don't have somewhere to go). Granted you'd either have to add a "Garrison" setting or ignore units in cities. Similar to Civ. Reason I bring this up is I sent Janusk one direction, my Sovereign another - both headed to locations. I've been focused on my Sovereign and moving her from location to location. Then I realized that Janusk has been
By selecting the more expensive choices first, you can buy the last Attribute for 2 points instead of 3 points. Start with the following choices for your Sovereign: Str 12 Int 12 Char 15 Dex 10 Wis 10 Con 11 Spellbook: Air Current points: 17 Profession: Bard (probably doesn't matter) Total remaining points = 17 If I select Organized for 10, Natural Leader for 5
