Where is Janusk if not in my territory? I can't get Janusk by speaking to him. Now he is in the middle of my city, and I can't get to him because he is not in my territory...?? On next turn, he is inside territory, but still. Then he costs more gold to recruit than what I have. A bit expensive for Clippy, isnt't it?

Windowed mode no longer works as of beta3B: Game is always full screen no matter what the setting is set to.
I launched a game. Couldn't build a kingdom because I was 'Too close to another city'. This is very bad because you lose one turn at the start and can't make use of some of the resources nearby because of bad placement of an unseen city. I then had to move to found the city. Janusk appeared. I found the city, Janusk is now on the other side. To move towards him, I move into the city. I then move towards Kanusk with the phylactera icon and instead of recruiting him, I kill him.
18 skills, 10 spells, 3 bosses... Yikes! THREE bosses! Advertising by numbers is a bit lame.
(a) First off the Shield icon of armies (which are not located in a town) should also open a similar window (maybe called Army Units or something).
YES. I never even found this window in cities, less even in the open. I like your suggestions. I think that anything would be better than the current system, in fact, but there are still issues even with what you propose: If I group 10 units (say 1 unit type A + 9 type B ) in one army and 10 others (say 1 uni
I liked the idea of Origins in DA:O, but I found that, even with these, the game had much less replay value than The Witcher with its single character. Any replay of DAO seems pretty similar (well, until you play a mage, at which point subsequent runs as not a mage seem like masochism). If DA2 offers in-game options that open several roads to tread and offers more replayability/choices, I'll be happy. I couldn't care less about the voice, as I play all games with sound
As for myself, I'd just like to be able to reliably create a stack of unit instead of seeing them move one after the other.
Well, I usually do but somethimes I have not done anything special, the game crashes in-game when nothing special seems to have happened.
My point is not so much using the cloth map instead of the 3D. If that was the solution, then the detailed 3D would be a big waste of energy and resources. I'd like the 3D to be usable, but it lacks some HUD for instance, or other mechanism to make out which unit belongs to whom.
Sorry, I posted them on the 10th, and the forums often go boom so they may have been one day late in the first case. the second occurence was one week older.
I attack an enemy city. I have a stack (or I hope) of my sovereign + 1 hero. There's ZERO opponent. My hero dies, apparently killed by my soevereign: Saved games (autosaves before the issue): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8046784/Storm1.EleSav http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8046784/Storm2.EleSav
Here's a screenshot annotated with a few issues I have: http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/7806/understandnothing.png Now there are many problems shown in this single screenshot, and a few more hiding nearby. 1) (doesn't show). The colors for Luhjahn and Iyana were similar, but separate. 2) That Valdiri guy was in Luhjahn territory. I thought he belonged to them but no. I wa

What development methods do you use? How do you plan the devs? You once mentioned engineering hours when I'm used to seeing engineering days used for measure of progress in software. How much detailed is your planning?

Here's a screenshot of the issue: I just attacked (and conquered) the city. Now there are MANY weird things here, as shown in the screenshot: 1) Enemy units are still in the city, here asiariliih (what a name...) and a pioneer. She should be dead. I mean, I attacked her and took the city, what's she doing there with her fellow pioneer? 2) Why can I give her orders? I m
Sometimes, I get horrible white terrain like this: I don't know if the white is on purpose or it's a bug? What's really annoying is none of the rocks/treestumps and yellow muck show on the cloth map. So they are probably just there for scenery, but it's impossible outside the cloth map to distinguish scenery things (=useless) from actual gameplay things like forests. If it's only here
Great idea.
Gameplay >>> Graphics. Last game I launched before posting: Master of Magic (bought it 15 years ago). Other games I currently play include ADOM, which is ascii-art...
I'm unable to load the autosaves. This used to work with previous betas. Saved games: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8046784/AutoSave.EleSav http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8046784/PreviousAutoSave.EleSav The game just presents a black screen and doesn't respond when clickin on the window (in windowed mode). The terrain looked ugly white everywhere except in cities and inns or where there were improvements (clooth map was fine). The second crash happened after I succeeded researching a tech. The cloth map turned an ominous black instead of the us
Climber's right. You need balanced (MP) maps and realistic (SP) maps. It's hard to manage something balanced and Earth-like, and furthermore I don't want the SP games to be too balanced (good when one ai is at an advantage and can be a good opponent late-game), so we need at least these two settings.
Agree 100% with the OP. I also often don't know if what I see on the map is scenery or something useful, so must zoom to cloth map. I never zoom in as much as Frogboy does in his videos. Not even half as near, because all it provides is scenery but no info.
Why not while( uLoopcount So we should build cities near/in forests in order to have monsters spawn in forests far from our cities...
I prefer that building would use population as limiting factor. For example if you build school it will use 20 of population to operate and university will use 40.
+1. I think units shouldn't remove pop when dying, butt when being built however. I also agree wholeheartedly with the walls thing. Farms behind walls is just silly.
