I doubt Brad would offer an answer if he didn't know what was up. Given his rather unique position (being both above and below Paxton in rank) he probably has access to any information he needs, self-imposed exile or not. I suspect the month of silence has to do with the Legendary Heroes beta. I have participated in past betas as well as participated on the forum during other betas, and it seems to me that a lot of effort goes toward the beta/release, and once they can manage it t

I can't reproduce the problem, thankfully. All is fine here. Given something that happened this morning on Skype (clicking on conversations made them hidden) I think that my keyboard needs to be replaced, and that may be the actual cause of what I reported above.

After I downloaded .75, I started a new game as Ceresa. I started the game with "manually place improvements" selected, but whenever I build an improvement it is automatically placed. I have not yet tried to start another game to see if this continues to be the case.

I loaded a save, finished a tech shortly thereafter (Heroes, I think it's called) and went to select a new tech: I moved the tech tree and the text did not move along with it. I exited the tech tree and opened it again and the text had vanished entirely.
As a workaround, try going to the following registry path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Drengin.net\GalCiv2UL Create a new String Key called "Serial No", and set the value data to your game serial number and see if that helps.
I tried to do this, but I wasn't given the option to name it, and I just had a GalCiv2 path, not GalCiv2UL I do have the same problem - I can't log into the Metavers

I don't quite get what is missing from not being able to transfer keys over to Steam? I can launch Sins as a non-Steam game and access the Steam overlay, screenshots show up in the library, just like actual Steam games. Is the problem the inability to download Sins via Steam? Also: Very happy to see this. I have no intention of purchasing further games via GameStop (Impulse) for various reasons, and I am glad Stardock games will be available through Steam.</

I probably should have followed my own instincts and not bothered to return to this thread. Why was it necessary for multiple men to jump in and derail this thread, throw in irrelevant jokes about how there are no women on the internet (and everyone who says she's a woman is either ugly or really a man, or perhaps both)? Why was it necessary for some men to invoke a stereotype of a woman trying to use her gender to get male attention - and most of all, why was this done in such a way
Well, one of the best ways to counteract sexism (or any -ism, for that matter) is to stop making a big deal out of whatever trait you are atttempting to equalize. You want to make gaming an equal-opportunity passtime? Then stop treating female gamers like some sort of anomaly.
Actually, from a lifetime of experience, women are not at fault for bringing sexism down upon ourselves. Men make more of a big deal about gender than women,
Honestly I can't stand girls/women who go out of their way to make it known they are female when playing games online. They are almost as bad as the guys who go crazy over them as if the game is for picking up a date.
Oh really? So a woman who says she's a woman is doing what exactly that men don't do when they say they're men?I've seen guys call women "attention whores" (elsewhere, not here) for saying we're women in th

I was using Firefox 3.0, but they weren't working at the time. It may be that someone noticed that older links were broken and fixed the problem, which is yay, because digging around in older posts is a bit rough when all the links go nowhere. Thank you for organizing these links in the first place - it was handy to find all the backstory compiled in one spot back around, oh, when this thread was newer. :)

jprcompain, It's not what the devs did, it's what they didn't do. When they wrote the first campaign, there were 10 races + Dread Lords, for 11 slots. With Dark Avatar, there were two new races (Korath, Krynn). Moving the maps and scenarios to DA or TA shifts the race slot for Dread Lords up two slots, which defaults the original race slot to Krynn. They didn't bother to change most of the maps, but the game adapts to that fine. This is the only scenario that references

Leauki, I have never seen gods who throw lightning and mate with humans. That's what makes it nonsense. Huh. That's odd, I'm pretty sure there's storm gods all over the world, in multiple religions . And I'm also pretty sure there's gods in multiple religions who have mated with humans. So, these stories of gods affecting the natural world aren't exactly unique to Greek r
