It depends on how many people are using the family option. Like this doesn't affect me at all.
Phaedyme
It's the worst. It was also sorely needed, so I can't complain too much. I was able to save important files. :)
The trait that gives you elementals from shards? I haven't used that yet, although I was planning to give a summoner-type a go next to see if it was more to my liking than previously.
Possibly referring to the fact everyone has a few games on their Steam account they haven't played much if at all so there's little incentive to keep buying new ones.

People not buying anything, even at great discounts, because they already have a huge library full of unplayed games bought in previous sales.
Ah, yeah, that's me.
The last time I tried to play a complete game was when there were only two DLCs out (one being the map pack from Fallen Enchantress). Anyway, the game seems much improved. If nothing else, I'm glad to see the skill trees streamlined a bit. I won't try to claim it's perfect, but it really has come a long way since launch.
I know for a fact my spouse is definitely a net loss in terms of revenue! I also got ripped off because I paid for the "Premium Spouse DLC" but they didn't tell me there was an on-going subscription cost of clothing and shoes that can't be cancelled! I'm also being forced into "DLC: Children"! HEEELLPP!!!!
This is what happens when you view partners as commodities.
Yep. That's what I was referring to.
Apparently magic doesn't scale well in fleet combat. :D
From the techtree:
- Inherent Magic Allows us to make our peple immensely powerful The Altarian race is the only race that has dark energy part of their inherent nature. While some races, such as the Drath have some concept of it, only the Altarians are inately...magical (as some humans might describe it).||This extra form of energy i
The Altarians can still use their ~magic~ (it's not really magic). I don't think it's quite to the same degree as it was during the Elemental/FE/LH period, though. You could research it in GalCiv 2, which gave a bonus to ground combat.
I really like the connection.
Oh nice. How did I miss this thread? Looking forward to new DLCs. How will spouses be handled for custom sovereigns?
Being immersed in the world. Sovereign creation and choosing the path to level up. Building an empire and choosing what I need to build. The variety of quest The turn-based mechanics Randomness of treasure and monsters/replayability The early and mid game sense of danger, when you can still get killed. Hoping to see news of the next DLC soon. :D
DLC: Every 2-3 months. New DLC: Pretty much anything works for me.
Who knew of all possible topics that blue skin would garner so much attention?
I love how this thread continually covers the same topic over and over and over and over again.
Gotta love Steam superfans....... "If it does not work right obviously it's not Steam, It's the user".
If it's a problem that is not common to steam users, then why would it be Steam? I did not say it could never be Steam, either, but that particular problem was not Steam. Gotta love Steam haters . . . every time something goes wrong it must be Steam's
@GFireflyE: I feel your pain in regards to Steam. Fortunately, I have had literally 0 Steam-related problems while installing/updating/playing LH. But other games on the other hand... another story completely. I could barely play Skyrim through Steam whatsoever (which their EULA states you "must" do to play). After finding an illegal cracked executable to run a game I purchased legally, it ran like a breeze
Well, I'll be picking this up (along with the Rebellion DLC) on the first. Looking good.
Looks good. I look forward to trying these changes.
What's entitled in this thread? Seems people are overusing the word lately. Edit to add: I was reminded of this Forbes article: http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/03/13/mass-effect-3-and-the-pernicious-myth-of-gamer-entitlement/
I believe it is now granted by the trait Sovereign's Bond.
It really should be addressed. A possible fix is to allow exiting the leveling screen without spending points. Another possible fix is to give repeatable selections at the end of the trait trees, similar to the final research options in the tech trees.
Quoting Phaedyme, reply 57 I think it is reasonable to expect support for games, and expect announced patches to be released. It's not undeserved entitlement to want updates and fixes for games one has paid for. The notion that purchasing a product doesn't entitle one to customer service is actually utterly bizarre to me. However, I do not think this means that customers are entitled to be abusive jerks toward anyon
