Yup, I just buy buy new facilities latter in the game for new or poor planets. Tony

I myself would like to see a route displayed for active ships on the screen itself. I find myself doing alot of clicking trying to find where my ships are. Not sure if this can be done but an old game (Stars! series) had fleet routes visible right on the screen so all one had to do was click on the route line to see what the fleet was and where it was going. Not a biggie.
I assume you are using a Constructor? Tony
what ships are used to bombard planets? You have to research planet bombardment. Tony
Research logistics so you can have bigger fleets with more transports. Research ground combat techs to give your troops a tech edge in combat. Have more troop transports on hand. If you get wiped out in your first wave, send the next ships in and so on till you take him out. Tony
In the ship building screen, there should be some extra do-dads for customizing ships called Collectors Edition or something like that. Tony
My Logitech trackball, I just press and hold my scroll wheel. Works great for me. Tony
My question is, are old saved games compatible with the changes? I loaded a saved game and have played several turns without any problem. Tony
Yeah, I have posted this about an hour ago, but is it ok to download the patch even if I've already downloaded the bonus pack? I ask this because the patch also includes the bonus pack. Thanks! Yes. Tony
The patch will bring both Retail and DL both up to the same version. It says right on the download screen to download no matter how you purchased. Tony
The Bonus Pack and Patch are combined into a single download. If you purchased by DL, put your serial number into the the blank where it asks for your CE serial number. That should get you into the download page. Tony
If you want to go in the same order as the rest of us that have had the game for a few days, it is Bonus Pack, Collectors Ed then patch. Tony
No, Stardock has no way of knowing and no control over it. Rumor has it Best Buy and perhaps Walmart have had it, at least in some markets. Tony
They are very involved in answering here. I Overall, its a pretty bug free game. Many of the same things are being reported over and over again. Unfortunately, I think all the forum posts give a false impressinon of there being more problems then there are. I have spent about 15 hours playing now, and I am addicted. Tony
It even says in the manual that you can NOT edit Core designs. Tony
Hold down your middle mouse button, or in my case, the scroll wheel. Then rotate away. If you want to leave the map in a new orientation, be sure make the appropriate change in the options menu, otherwise, it always snaps back to the default view. Tony
Check out your manual, page 42 - 46. Tony
Right-Click on the blue notification box that pops up on the main screen. Tony
I think that simply by having the trade route run through the starbase's influence radius you get the percentage bonus. I don't think it matters where the freighter is on its route. I think you get the revenue from the route each turn, not just when the freighter reaches a planet. The point of the freighter is to give you something to attack. The length of the trade route is a factor in determining the income per turn. It does not matter where on the route the starbase is placed
I wonder how I can acces the Galciv desktop, do I need thememanger for that? (Not installed currently because I do very ittle with skins etc) (he Stardock here is someone to convert ) It's on your Windows Start Menu, called crazy enough, "Galactic Civilizations II Desktop". <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Sm
I had my first CTD after around 10 hours of play. I'm sorry I don't remember what I did at the time to trigger it. The message was something about not being able to write to a memory location. If you are spending money on espionage, your operatives will give you messages when peace and war are declared between other races. Tony
Be careful in putting all your eggs in one basket. If the enemy captures your basket. . . . Tony
Get it now! The condition it's in now is better than some games ever ended up even with post release patches. Tony
You can only upgrade/modify ships you made. Tony
