Kings Bounty The Legend : Got to love a game whose tutorial starts off by pitting you and your little army against an obnoxious inyourface dragon, and then follows up this outrage by introducing you to a Necromancer! Look at videos on youtube, this one is very well done, has most of the bugs fixed at this point, and worth it. Civ4 , yes. Or Civ3. Or even old Civ 2. Everyone should play a Civ game at least once. Choose whatever culture seems to you to be

Yeppers, because my high school teachers were fascinated with the word for some reason. My, how schools have changed! Back when I was in school, either your teacher was a coach, or not a coach. Teachers who were not coaches could summon a nearby coach teacher quickly. Most of the above techniques would have resulted at once or eventually in: a. Detentions b. Expulsion c. Severe bodily pain, perhaps in addition to a and b above. I remember a kid in 7th g

I've got it on Vista 64 bit also. No problems, great browser. if it will install to your machine posts are right that it is worth doing because Windows core is enhanced thereby. Of course, I myself use Firefox because it works and doesn't have alot of newfangled doohickeys like IE8 that was made for people smarter than me.

Yes, five stars from me. I found some things to be annoyed about, but on the whole it is excellent. Have to love a game that starts you off in the tutorial fighting a cantankerous Dragon. Then your fun loving instructor sends you up against a Necromancer and his army of undead. What I found really strange was you may be a Warrior, but you never get to ride into combat. No, you are off on a hill casting spells, summoning things, and ordering the elements of your army around. In

I think of StarCraft single player where the dumb AI was made a bit interesting because it would rush you. This made it necessary to fine tune your buildout. In Sins, the AI is not going to rush you the way it is set up. So, the pirates were put in to make single players pay attention to their buildout. Forcing a reasonable buildout is all they are for IMHO. So, like in Civ IV, the barbarians and pirates should become non factors at some point. Suddenly they just become heavil

Hellgate London has to be in there somewhere. Few games have so enraged players that they created their own site on which to vent their spleen! www.flagshipped.com But Master of Orion 3 is at the top of my list for disappointing, as released. It seems to me that developers start out on a sequel by saying, "Ok, now what do players really like about the game. These things? Right then, let's take those out and do something entirely different."

Some issues can be fixed with mods on the PC version, and are being worked on. That being said, for me the most fun was had by playing the flash demo of the game's combat. http://www.playpuzzlequestgalactrix.com/ is the flash demo o

See, thing is, many, probably most, people who buy the expansion, and later on the game with the expansion, are not the sort who hang out on forums. 1. Need manual as soon as possible. 2. Need something more ... I think a video of a commented game by the devs would be good and not at all hard to do. Not even a full game, or a hard game. Just play a game up to the point of building a starbase, deploying mines, other defense structures. People who buy this game cold dese

Gamespot gave Galactrix a 5.5, Mediocre. But IGN gave it an 8.4. Go figure. GameSpy 90 Wired 80 Games Radar 80 Game Zone 70 Game Revolution 58 1Up 58 The official reviews are "mixed," I guess depending on what the reviewers had anticipated. Thanks again, Royal Rook, for the headsup.

Looking forward to your review RoyalRook. Warning! The following review of Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment by AngryJoe is not suitable for children due to some gross and vile language, not to mention other evils. You have been warned. Pay no attention to it being a parody. It is not. It is an extremely well done video that is very positive about the game and should put a big smile on your face and give you a chuckle or two. Watch in high quality and prepare

Well, Moo3 can be made to work with much fewer bugs. Just the tiny bit I know about it, caveat emptor! First you really need Moo3 retail box disks. The forums say the downloadable version will not accept mods. I don't know this for a fact, but it is what the forums say. 1. Then add the official patch moo3_version125.exe. You get this from the official site. This was the last patch from the developers. Then run Moo3 Install Check. I don't know why, but you do. T

I'm sure this will work. It is a great idea and I think it would be perfect if combined with my own great idea, which is: Whole problem here is spamming any particular unit. The goal is to have balanced fleets. So: Once a player builds any fleet unit beyond a certain percentage, then the additional units defect to the pirates with the alert sound "Yawr me Hearties!"

With any online multiplayer game you always get exploits that result in nerf after nerf. There is really no good solution to this because if a game is complex enough it is really impossible to completely balance it. Push this down and that pops up. So two things need to be done. First the developers need to listen to the feedback from the online players and do their best to accomodate them or eventually the online community will leave. Mods for single player mode, maybe an off

Thanks Daedalao. I understand the difference and actually I might prefer the lone wolf idea to tell you the truth. I did get the demo, and starting it up the graphics look very very good. Alas, I have a technical problem with the demo . The sound is stuttering badly. I read the readme that comes with the demo, went to the website and looked at tech support postings. Nobody else seems to have the problem. Did the usual, turned off

Thanks for the post. Yet another space game I did not know about. http://diehardgamefan.com/2009/02/17/review-evochron-legends-pc/ Review at diehard sounds pretty good. Daedalao, what are your thoughts on how it compares overall to FreeSpace 2 SCP (Source Code Project)? Also any impressions on overall gameplay to Microsoft Freelancer with the Discovery mod? <a href="http://www.youtub

These are great ideas, which could fit well into the game, especially in early stages. A selection of skills for the civics and military vessels might make it into the game, or someone could do a mod and see what really works in practice. Maybe you could build one variety at a time, either Civics or Military but not both. Research necessary to turn on advanced features. http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Science_vessel The

I see the point. I know there are many who feel the same way. I respect your views. But just me personally, I would rather not see the development time or processor time ingame devoted to anything that is not essential to the improvement of the strategy and tactics of the game itself. Better multicore use if they are going to work on something, IMHO.

Brad, I don't see any way to post suggestions for Impulse within Impulse itself, nor do I see a Forum subject for Impulse. Players could suggest games they would like to see. I notice that you now have Puzzle Quest: Galactrix featured on Impulse, soon to be released for download. But there is a prior game in the series called Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords . I would like to have this game, but I don't find it listed on Impulse. Is it possible you might
