I will eventually have both. Right now I got neither. Sort of saw the release problems with Elemental coming. With Civ 5 I will play the Demo and read a lot of tech support posts and such. Pays to look before you leap. Let me brighten this dud of a post by providing a link to the IGN video preview of Civ 5 for those who have not seen it. I've played Civ since Civ 1 way back yon, and sure t
Cannot blame beta testers or play testers. Beta testers are supposed to find bugs and graphics glitches and such. They should not be giving feedback on game play. Play testers provide feedback on game play. Neither beta testers nor play testers design or develop. Developers design and develop. If they delegate that task to beta testers or fans, then what you wind up with is same as the camel, which is a horse designed by a committee.
Yeah, I just Googled "stardock layoff" and got a nasty surprise . Very tough time for all of you. Your biggest asset remains. Your loyal fans who have loved the Galciv series, Sins of a Solar Empire, and of course Impulse! Not to mention your Windows application software. Well, the A.I. problems are fixed to some degree by the robust multiplayer (if you can find friends willing to slog through the ugliest visuals sinc
The Elemental release is not nearly as bad as the release of Master of Orion 3 that set a kind of standard for bad releases not soon to be forgotten. To me it seems more like the release of Hellgate London (one of my favorite games of all time). Except that Brad Wardell is certainly not the shameless con man that Bill Roper of Flagship Studios appeared to be. Shame, because "stardocked" can't become a household word like "flagshipped" became. So we will not see wonderful degrading car
Unlikely, as I highly doubt Stardock will sell the Elemental rights.
"As an evil (dangerously evil) greedy capitalist ..." (Brad answers phone) Hello. Well, Mike Morhaime! What a pleasant surprise! Great to hear from you bud! What's going on? ... you want to what? ... no pal, no way. We've put a lot of work into Elemental. It's our baby! Our dear child! And no way we would consider ... (thud) ... (Brad picks himself up off the floor) ... uh, how $$$much$
