I *think* the quest marker disappears if he dies. My last game he joined up with a stack of critters, forget which type, but I almost missed him, was just figuring out my next victim when I found him.

Has the issue keeping characters from teleporting to former Wildlands been fixed?
Disclaimer: This custom faction build is designed to abuse the available XP in the game, and may cause violent gastric distress in those allergic to dairy products. Kingdom of Mighty Heroes, aka The Lords of Cheese Race: Altar(Rush, 10% XP bonus, Henchmen). The Altar give you the two best abilities to go with this build, hands down. The 10% bonus doesn't seem like a lot, but you have it from the beginning of the game, so it adds
I would like to see that restriction removed, let us use all 10 races for either faction.
Parrottmath, I'm going to dedicate my first game post beta to you dude. You are amazing.
You got me Anelyn, have never been able to divine what it is they do. Just ran a couple of quick tests, using some loud colors, still no idea. Disclaimer, I am somewhat colour blind. Edit: This post really should be in Support, any chance a nice mod could move it?
Yea, I think this is a needed change, though I'd still like to see some additional costs for casting the Spell. Maybe tie building the towers to having the pertinent shards, so that you'd have to work for the win a bit.
I've never seen either of the two special Yew bows, and according to Steam I have 285 hours in on LH.
Anyone else finding quest maps no longer work?
As per the title, also being reported on the Steam forums.
Right, still knowing the experiments that failed won't automatically be reappearing is a bonus at this point. I do the same with saves, but the past couple of patches I've not deleted all of my custom factions/units, as I've gotten comfortable with their usefulness, only deleting the ones that didn't seem as effective, or that had traits that have changed. And to clarify, that's for AI factions as well as the one I'm
Wait, isn't Steam evil?
Your assumptions are correct, I finally got around to testing this, wasn't able to yesterday. Just made a custom faction, Kingdom of the Cheaters, which has abilities from each race I've built using that name, quit testing after the first 4. This is in .91, btw.
I just realized it's quite a bit worse than I initially thought. You don't have to play through at al
Just noticed a new dowload on my Steam menu after turning cloud save back on, and see that .91 is released. Guess it's time for a new game, old one was won anyhow.
Gandalf I have no problem with steam cloud. Everything I removed in game (save files, custom sovereigns, retired custom designs) they are not present anymore when I restart the game.
Really? Has this been changed then and not noted in a patch log I wonder? It's been several versions since I have used the cloud save, if this issue is fixed I'll be mightily pleased, even if I do have to root around in the f
There is currently no way to modify a custom faction or sovereign without deleting, or overwriting the file. And be sure to turn off cloud saves before you do delete one, or they will just reappear. I'm not even sure if a complete uninstall will clear the cloud files, suspect that it won't. This is one of my biggest gripes with the current state of the game, as I'm all about building, and playing with and against custom factions. That this still hasn&#
Hmmm. I typically use the cheats menu to design units for custom AI factions, as I don't care to play through an entire game with every faction I create. Think I'll test this out this afternoon, try it with several races and see just how badly this can be abused.
Hoping to see a fix for the unit upgrade screen in this patch, it's quite annoying having to click on each desired upgrade as is currently.
Happened yet again. I'm gonna have to go kill Kraxis to get this to stop.
Good plan, think I'll follow your advice. Kraxis dies first.
This is being reported on the Steam forums as well. Is everyone experiencing this able to continue the game after saving and reloading?
Agree that high initiative/dodge is the way to go, building units with armor is just not cost effective. With a good healer and commander, a group of dodgy spearmen can be pretty dern hard to kill. Whether it's the benefits of armor need increasing, the costs associated need reduction, or maybe even the traits that support wearing/not wearing armor need tweaking, something seems out of whack.
Right. If you don't want to have the same color as opposing factions, either check the colors of the stock factions and make your custom faction a completely different color, never play with an enemy faction that uses your color, or, design custom AI opponents to be different colors than your own.
The main time I see it is when holding control and trying to click to select multiple units in cities. Cursor tremble so bad it's almost impossible to click on the units.
+1, keep hoping to see this fixed.
Following my post above, just cleaned up the last few lairs, the Arena quest, the Dragon statue quest, and three wildlands, (boss only in two of them, bunch of haunters with Morian in the third). Maybe 2 dozen fights in total. With a dedicated trainer henchman, and the Sov as well as a henchman mage, I was able to get the Sov to 36, and both henchmen are 26, from 11 and 8. Troops are all 20s. A lot of the fights my Sov was getting close to 400
This just happened to me in a battle with Morian, in the wildlands. I thought at first he hadn't spawned for the fight, as he wasn't visible off map, but clicked auto resolve and my mages found him. I never saw him myself, but recieved his goodies after a couple of rounds of spellslinging. 9 units in each army. I didn't get a screenshot, but I may have a save before that battle, so could probably generate one, assuming it happened again.
