I don't know if the player can choose no research, but this shouldn't happen and the player should be forced to select a tech before the turn is allowed to end.
Have also had this happen as well. I "think" it's occuring when reloading a save that coincides with finishing a research project, but wi

As I understand things, the patches release approximately every Thursday.
Yea, they definitely ignore too many freebies, though in my current game they are doing a better job of defeating the spawns.
It's not just Magnar, and it's not just the libraries. Several times now I've witnessed custom AI faction champs sitting on goodie huts/lairs, without clearing the square.
Correction. Not all of the earlier created factions returned, only those with different names. However, sovereigns with the same name did reappear.
Well, bugger. Just started up Steam, then started LH, to discover that all of the factions I'd deleted have been added back. This needs fixing.
I must agree, this is something I greatly disliked in FE, and had hopes of seeing fixed for LH. Until I read this thread, I had no idea you could delete custom leaders by right clicking, so that is a start, at least.
I've just tested this, and you can delete custom factions, by first disabling the cloud save mechanic, then manually deleting them from your MyGames folder. You can also delete custom units and leaders in the same manner. A bit too much aggravation, imo, but it gets the job done. As I only play with custom factions and leaders, I end up with several that don't work out as intended.
Agreed. IMO the character and faction traits need reworking, and a few new choices wouldn't be a bad thing, either.
Sense of entitlement much?

The game doesn't clear properly when you load a save or create a new map from within a game, and if you do it enough times the game will bog down and eventually crash. If you are reloading a lot, just remember to quit and restart the game every once in a while, how often probably depends on your machine.
<
FE is worth the investment, both in money, and time. It needs a little TLC, but overall I think it's a game with a lot of potential.

As for SD being unresponsive, can't agree with that e
You can edit the text after creation. Custom factions (and sovs) are stored as fairly easy to read and understand XML files under "Documents/My Games/Fallen Enchantress" (for Vista anyway, probably similar for 7/8). You might have to start a new game to see the changes. I mean the issue you reported should certainly be fixed, but for now there's at least a way to salvage any races inadvertently mucked up by it without recreating them from scratch
If you want to be completely rid of a custom units in a game, you will have to locate it in your documents folder and delete it by hand.... (this have always bothered me)
Agree with this, a lot of my enjoyment comes from creating, and playing with and against, customised factions and units. Streamlining the process for the player would be a good thing, imo.
Noticed the misspelling of cavalry as well, a common mistake.
