At work I have two monitors and even that is too few sometimes :P At home I had one 1680x1050 and I got a free 1280x1024 later on (one or two dead pixels, but hey if it's free... ;)). So now the big monitor is for gaming (both PC and Xbox) and the smaller one for browsing, IM etc. If you use your computer just for gaming, 1 big monitor is enough :) Oh and yes, once you go dual, you can't/don't go back [e digicons]^_^[/e]

Fair enough. Updated title to BUG ^^
I noticed that when two cities are close together the kingdom border crosses over itself. I think it's better if it stays contiguous, like I suggested with the dotted red lines.
While playing as Tarriden, I noticed that my sovereign actually *lost* sight when leveling up. Is this a bug or are these people just getting old really quickly? :P
Yep I noticed this as well. The unit should just try to move there until it hits the water.
To reproduce: Click Skirmish from the main menu Click Next Choose any faction Click Next The faction you have chosen is not among the options for opponents (can't have double kingdoms) Click Back Choose a faction other than the one you chose last time Click Next Observed: The faction you chose the first time is still not available as opponent, but the faction you chose the second time,
I don't like to call Bug unless Im sure it's not me just being stupid.
Even if it's you being 'stupid' you should still post. Better that we find out that it isn't a bug than that noone posts and it stays in :)
I have found no game to choose the native resolution right away. I think it has to do with the fact that any default choice might make it impossible for you to set any options, so the game starts with a low resolution.
On dual-screen the side adjacent to the other screen isn't bounded either, so you can't scroll on that side.
Confirmed here by a Stardock rep. Also, you can post bugs etc you find in the Elemental BETA forums :)
So the edge-scrolling seems somewhat bodged. Some things I observed: The default speed of 20 is waay too slow, 200 is more like it, though still a bit slow I have a dual-screen setup and when trying to scroll in the direction of the other screen my cursor goes over there without scrolling Scrolling in the opposite direction of my other screen does nothing Scrolling up is fine Scrolling down only works in the area where the money and popul
I get this when running the game on W7 64-bit. Despite the message, the game runs fine. DxDiag
Okay, nevermind, modem reset and it's 600kB/sec :D

I must say I admire the resolution [e digicons]^_^[/e]
The "in theory" part sounds so sinister.
Well the beta ain't started 'til the fat lady(Frog) sings [e digicons];P[/e]
I will try Alt-Tab too.
And dual-screen. Many games go fullscreen but when I hit the edge it goes to the next screen instead of scrolling. Quite annoying :P
You will get a serial number via email. You can then register Elemental in Impulse with that number and then you can download it (when beta has actually started :))
Another great free image hoster is www.imgur.com .
That having been said, for those not in IRC we're looking at tomorrow for the beta.
*does the happy dance* Good thing I have friday off [e digicons]\o/[/e]
What time are we looking at?
Quoting BlueBirdTS, reply 6Looks great so far. I'm not sure how you're going to finish the game and polish it up properly by August 2010 though *hint delay the release hint*. What the hell? The game won't be released 'til August 2010??? Sad news...
It ensures we get a great game instead of a mediocre one. For that I'll gladly wait. And I preordered for the beta of course ;)
From what I understand, if you didn't order directly from your Impulse account (and maybe even if you did), your should receive by e-mail a serial once the beta is available. You will then be able to use this serial to register the preorder on your Impulse account and download the beta.
This is what Stardock Support told me as well so I assume it's correct :)
