But it does ask the question why do PC games are constantly out sold by consoles?
Because, even the current mid-range PCs are 2 or 3 times more expensive than an Xbox or Wii, let alone a good PC to play the newest games. Plus, game will continue to be made for those that platforms that are guaranteed to run well. So the psychology is definitely in favor of the consoles there. That said, I think the indie game market will pu

I'm not sure about the necessity for ranks, apart from the official StarDock banners, but some consistency would be nice. For Karma, but also for things as clicking 'My Posts'. I'm currently posting from the Elemental forums, but when I click My Posts in the GalCiv2 forums I don't see anything, despite this being the Off-Topic forum which is shared between all forums :)
I love Civ4, but even I admit that worker move/worker road gets old fast.
I don't understand, you can select a worker, type Alt-R, select a tile, and it will automate building a (rail)road to that spot. It's even more flexible than what you describe because you can build between any two tiles, allowing a more flexible road network :)
Movies are almost always made for money, not to appease to any particular group of people. And when they do it becomes a "cult" movie for being different. For example A Scanner Darkly : wikipedia states
Having never been intended for mainstream audiences, the film opened in seventeen theaters and grossed $391,672 for a per-theater average of $23,039. The film saw some expansion in later weeks but

I'll believe it when I see it. But I live in Europe so it'll be 10 years before I see it so I'm not a true believer I think ;)

And please for the love of all that is fair and square don't translate anything into Dutch. I faithfully bought my Civ 4 copy in a physical store, but it came with Dutch 100 page manual and reference poster. And on that poster the techs are sorted alphabetically, in Dutch. So to look one up I look at the name in the game, guess the translation they used and then look it up on the poster. Good thing there's a Civliopedia :P Anyway, Dutch people are clever enough to be able to read Engl
I would rather have a good beta than a punctual beta. For me, a good game is much more important than a rapid release. Unless there are expansion packs.
Um, the whole idea of a beta is that it probably isn't good yet (playable of course but bugs and imbalances will occur) and that we join hands to make it good. If you want a well-rounded game you should wait for the release in 2010 :)
I wonder how this is going to work when I buy a game from the cheapest vendor, then download it from the fastest. Wouldn't the second party be a bit pissed they have to pay for bandwidth they didn't get paid for?
I don't want to go into the usual "What if I kill my dad before he meets my mom" paradox.
As an aside, ( Major Lost spoiler in the black box ) Sayid just killed young Ben in 1977 , so I guess we're gonna see Lost's interpretation of that phenomenon :P
Riddles also have the problem that it might rely on some quirks and double meanings in the English language which would not be fair to people who do not speak it fluently enough to understand the riddle. And as stated above, you would need a Turing-level AI to correctly get what the user is inputting. Remember TAKE BOOK, PICK UP BOOK, LIFT BOOK, GRAB BOOK...? ;)
It opens the door to gamers being able to resell their games because users can voluntarily disable their game access and transfer their license ownership to another user.
I think this is a great way to solve problems we saw with other games in the recent past where the DRM might have prevented you from passing on the game to someone else :D I wonder though, the text implies the authentication of the game's serial number still uses the internet ("Once validated,

I must admit I tried it a bit and didn't really like it... I'm generally a Sci-Fi guy but something didn't feel right, maybe a bit too 'soapy' (See the Frakmap , in only 4 seasons! :o) Knowing there are only about 80 episodes, maybe I'll try it again :P
