Anyone else think it's silly to call this a beta? Just seems to be strange to buy a game, and then 3 months later you are playing a beta.
They aren't calling the game a beta...they are calling the patch a beta. Which makes sense.
Rune_74
It is a beta patch...I'm not sure how that confuses you.
Quoting Nenjin, reply 55 Beta. Crash bugs, I could live with. Breaking the zone of control so it resets all the building you've done, when it worked just fine before, is not something I hand wave with the beta comment. It's made the beta difficult to test and evaluate, and that's something they need to avoid. You are wrong. They are trying to improve the code for the ZOC, therefore i
I like the idea of two different style of champions. Great idea.
My suggestion: do MoM 2 yourself. Well, I'm actually considering something along those lines. The modding potential of EWoM is interesting, but with all the major changes going on there is really no point in trying to build anything until the game system settles down and we all know what we've got to work with. Since.. I can agree about some extra things that Elemental could have

Stop playing stupid, you know what he's talking about. There are at least three threads about a buggy beta 8 months in...
I love trolls:)
The animations are faster in tactical battles...which makes it a bit better.
hahah it is a beta for a reason....you do know that right?
I did what you suggested and it didn't work. I guess I'll try again in a few weeks. Weee!
Yeah because you know they never try and fix things....
Was ina fight with a settler where I tried to run away, but just got to the edge of the screen with no indication I could not flee.
Finished a tactical battle where my main guy was killed and the adventurer hero I had wn the fight leveled up then was sent back to the strategic map and my main guy was alive and my hero was gone.
If you left click on a city all you get is buildings and resources. If you double right click the city you get access to the recruit screen and when you hit done there ou get the recruit tab.
I like arkham horror, talisman...both great games. Had a lot of fun with ticket to ride as well.
I don't get why in a game called elemental you do not use elemental resistances?
I will not be a willing Beta Tester when I am a paying customer, but my enthusiasm for this game is so great that I will point out things that I think are absurd and question the rationale behind them in case I am just missing the point. I will also point out perceived incongruous statements made by official SD personnel... Actions speak louder than words.... I did however used to be a professional QA tester and Test designer.&nbs
Is it possible with the new system to have a spell that makes the ground cursed/blessed in an area? LIke hallowed ground where certain creatures can't walk and sanctuary where wild monsters can't enter.
Dear derek I am sure that you will find here (see link: an official thread!) everything you are looking for. No need for contests when you've got at your disposal such a mine of ideas/suggestions/lists/mechanisms as this forum. It's becoming tiring to see Stardock wanting to look cool by asking time and again the same things. STOP ASKING! You've got all the cards in your hands; now create the game or throw the towel, the

However I have some underlying question. Since "the engine" seems to be the perfect mute scapegoat for all missing/incomplete features, how shall the future be different? Is it improving fast in capability? Because otherwise it's no use to ask people once again for input/ideas/suggestions.<br
So, Kael...post already:) Excellant choice.
quoting post Now we move towards the next phase which is where we begin to address the game play based on feedback and our own experience. Our goal for Elemental to become a worthy successor to classic games like Master of Magic has not changed and we will be continuing to endeavor to make that a reality. Stay tuned! I realize you are probably just fishing for rave posts, b
