I would disagree with CIV 5 being devoid of depth its just different, combat, resource maangement, and culture add a ton of options in them. And its a lot more stable then Elementals launch, never care what people say about AI becuase they all suck becuase no AI comes close to human intelligence or are unpredicatbility. I have played 4 games of CIV 5 so far, each one different, played on an ice world, jungle world desert world and eartrh. Each Civ feels a little different and

I actually returned elemental and bought civ 5, atleast with civ 5 I feel like there more then just one faction and the cities look different. and untis are more diverse, better diplomacy etc. and in a years time there will be a fantasy mod for it. I so wanted to like elemental who knows maybe in a year it might be worth getting.
Interesting video. Note #1.: Imo the [patched up] Civ4 AI is far from being perfect [it's mediocre] and it's been made for a "simple" game basically. I am pretty sure that the EWoM AI will be very good later on, but you shouldn't forget 1 thing: EWoM is a much more complex game than Civ4. So writing the AI for EWoM is/will be much more harder than writing the AI for Civ4. Note #2.: Do you know that would be
You choose the spells based on the amount of shards you own. That makes a huge difference on which one you should pick! I don't think adding 6 different damage and defense/resistance types to the game at this point will make it better....
ok this makes no sense. I dont know how many shards there are when the game begins and I choose the spells books in the begining. I just finished an AOM game. I
I am not sure about what this exactly means: - Is balancing weapons needed to ensure that AI can survive - or changing the combat system will have a too important impact for the AI As a developer myself my guess is that adding more attributes and calculation factors to combat would break the AI or cause it to have to be completely rewritten to take the new factors into account.

Well any game by blizzard and bioware I have been able to play fully, with out anything going tits up and major balance issues. so in 5 minutes you realized exactly how combat and spell damage worked, I didnt I had to come to the forums. And spell damage is still somewhat a mystery to its creation, such 1 mana for earthquake. But here is the big thing, this game was supposed to be the spiritual succesor to masters of magic, and its not close. not by a longshot and

I disagree that we should all be praising them for this game. I come from the school where if you dont get any answers right on a test you fail the class, you dont a slap on the back and you get told to better next time. Hell below 70% was failing grade for me. In there own words they said they dropped the ball huge, people are getting laid off because of this. And all the suggestions I see on here are just that suggestions ideas, can people not voice them? there not saying do

The game has been released far, far too early And so was your review. That’s the game Stardock put in the box, relying on a day-one patch to get it to an acceptable state. But the game’s requirements don’t include an internet connection to play, and even if they did, the optimistically named ‘day 0&rsq

because all the spells are the same, inferno and blizzard are the same spell just reskinned, there no damage resistances to specific spells. so you might as well just choose like earth and fire to get the cool summoned creatures and put the other points else where.

So were supposed to atleast get one patch in septmeber that fixes magic and character creation. But I say screw that, cant you all fix the end game slow down first and get a patch out ASAP, would rather have bugs squashed then content balanced

If you want to add a few things here and there like a custumizable hero, more spells another race, more diplomatic options great, but dont remove shit. refine her and fix her, dont reinvent. <br

I have critized this game a bunch but not because of hatred. I still enjoy this game. But I think there somethings that need to be corrected immedialty and then they market the hell out of it. 1. Stability in the late game. Still far two many complaints me included of this game bogging down to a crawl and becoming frustrating. 2. Fix Combat. Right now armor is useless, just get the strongest weapon and position your units for first strike and your good. Lot of people h
