Wow, Woolworths are still around? I guess they are gone from the US, haven't seen one in a looong time.

The system may need tweaking, technologies to proliferate awful quickly. Even the minors get their hands on most techs. When I look around for a tech to sell, everyone has the same stuff. laptop user here, i enjoy being able to play games where ever
Good report... glad to see you lose! Gives me much hope
I believe it is payed for I may be wrong, but I didn't think we got the primary executable yet. Tough to play without that.
Has the new AI made such designs?
So which AI has won the most with autoplay?
hehe, theres plenty of us to hire to take care of that stuff
how about a hi-res version?
Do you pay your employees overtime Frogboy?
You might not stand a chance right away, but its still an AI. I better not win my first try on Intelligent, I will be very disappointed.
This kind of article is the best kind of advertisement for me. It didn't come across, maybe because it was a tiny galaxy, but is there a reason to have 'combined fleets'? It seems we may just need 1 top of the line design. Hopefully if the AI deals with range better they will be tougher. So they can actually have the ability to strike at your other worlds instead of just defending and trying to take back what is lost.
Please do write up the tests, looking forward to reading it My ideal difficulty level is where I sometimes win and sometimes lose. I don't want to crush the enemy, just to have it be a challenging game that makes me want to see it through to the end.
SuperPower I advertised, and I stress advertised, a neat feature. You could have the AI 'play' itself and become better using an external program. The longer you let it run the better it would be. Neat idea, but I don't think they really did it.
I don't think I ever successfully completed a MP game of MOO2. I don't really like the Metaverse either. I want to download a profile of someone on the Metaverse and play against the profile .
"We know what your doing" - very cool.
So what do you guys (Stardock) do on the release day (well the day when everyone can buy it)?
Well, maybe for Galciv 3, AI will be built as dll's? Looks very good though, can't wait for release, almost don't want to play the latest beta because now I know it can't compare to what isn't released.
Frogboy, What are your thoughts on a SDK like civ 4 is doing? Players could then improve/make their own AI modules.
A Q&A with the civ 4 devs brings a GC question.. --- [Civ IV] Soren Johnson: Question: Xeno: Have you ever played galactic civilizations? Answer: Yeah, it's a good game, and I'm looking forward to the sequel as well. Not a whole lot of TBS's out there... we need more! --- http://www.xfire.com/xf/modules.php?name=XFire&file=cmspage&body=xf_devchat_civ4_transcript
Great articles. I am really glad to see the concern of using the CPU for AI instead of graphics. I am perfectly ok with the notion: if I want a smarter AI, I need a better CPU. So please keep that development up.
Being able to see what they have is an interesting issue. It is free intel, which I don't like. When trying to trade technology, they should offer a tech they feel is appropriate, not one you choose. So if they just finished super battle tech 5, you won't know. If you want a certain tech, maybe you can ask for it, but they can say "no, we dont have it (could lie of course)", or "no, your deal is not good enough" etc.
actually, i thi nk I meant stellar frontier, thats your guys game right? the games look really nice in HD on there too.
I must say, xbox live arcade is really cool. Quality fun games that look great. They also have demos for them. Stardock, seems like a good place for Subspace?
Again, thanks for the no-drm. Ive avoided buying several games lately (i.e. X3) due to the fact they use Starforce.
