One thing they could do to fix one of the problems here is to put a cap on the number of perks a hero can get, so that no matter what level you reach, you cannot run out of perks to take. It would have to be variable cap based on the individual hero's amount of perks. Even after they fix the massive XP bug, a hero could still legitimately level up past the number of perks available, which would still cause a player to run into the "Well, I'm stuck in a menu" problem.

Here, unzip this to your x :\Users\ [username] \Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods folder and enable mods in the game. That way if they don't fix it in the next patch, you'll still have it right (unless they meant to double damage and forgot to update the description, in which case you'll have it wrong and should delete the file). http://darkseam.com/fe/FlameDartFix.zip</a

The scroll icon indicates it's a quest tile. Can you post a screenshot for clarification? Make sure that you've selected that tile when you take the screenshot, so it will show in the selection window what it is.

There are a lot of old threads about this topic. I think that if they were going to change it, they would have done so by now. Then again, they do keep changing the cost of Pioneers.

I'm able to start a new game and load save games from after when the problem occurred (the saves from the new game), but I still can't load any games that were saved prior to encountering this problem.

Okay, maybe it is a problem with the saved games. I just installed LH on my laptop and tried to load the game there (cloud saves work, yay!... unless that's what caused the problem, then booo!), and I got the same thing. Maybe I shouldn't have loaded up my Quicksave first. :/ Both computers are running Windows 7 64-bit and have nVidia GPUs (although different ones, of course). Aside from that, they are quite different machines. Here is my quicksave, r

Yeah, they kinda ninjad it out the day before (or the day of, I didn't really notice) beta release. I was playing like the split was no longer there and was wondering why my XP gains were so low.

I have seen this as well. It does update the numbers once the unit passes through a city, but the numbers need to have been correct from the beginning. To explain it more verbosely: When you have a unit selected and you mouse-over a tile, the movement path preview shows up, and if you have a city along that path, the instant movement through the city is ignored when calculating the number of turns to get to the destination. So, if my unit would pass through 3 tiles of city

Edit your description, adding some indication of what your bug is, like "[Bug .50] Ridiculous XP gains from combat - Crash".

That might just be that item because I've put the Reap ability on a unit and it's been working fine. It's good for early-game tanks (late game it kinda sucks).

And once you've turned on the grid, if you go into the cloth map, it's really easy to see what's been affected. Remember that Lower Land only works on one tile at a tile. You cast it on the tile you want to become traversable. If you are trying to get through a mountain 3 tiles wide, you have to cast it 3 times, once on each tile. Also, like mmilleder said, you're not going to get a new road. That's just not something that's supposed t

I can no longer load games in LH. I've put in over 10 hours before encountering this. I can create a new game, but I can't load any save games (and I've created separate ones every time I've encountered a bug for when I do some bug reports later, so I've got a quite a few). Since some of the save games are unmodified from when I loaded them earlier, I know it's not a case o

Bug 2 - Yeah, that's bothered me for a while as well. The actual functionality of the expanded borders is there, but you can't see it graphically represented. You can force it to update by choosing to build on a resource node if there is one (you can then cancel it and the graphical update is still applied). I haven't found any other workaround, although it's only a workaround if you know that the borders have expanded. Bug 3 - I've used Lower Lan

Have we just given up entirely on the idea of calling it "gildar"? Because I'm fine with that if we have. On higher difficulty levels, the AI gets tons of free gold, so with a 30 gold cost, the AI players can just spam Pioneers without a care. With so many Pioneers, it makes it easy for the AI to just send them out randomly and hope for the best, like ants, rather than putting any thought into what it's going to do with them. With that in mind, while

Oh, I thought they had removed the split. They said they had, like, 1-2 days before the beta came out. That would explain the low XP gains I've been getting late-game.

All my starting areas have had essence. Before LH it was still possible to get a starting zone without any essence. Stardock's solution is, rather than code in balanced starting zones, to hit Ctrl-N if you don't like your starting zone, generating a new game with the same setup but different map (assuming you're using a randomly generated map).

4. In the Govern window, when you select an enemy faction, it tells you there what they like/hate about you, and how much it contributes to their opinion of you.

- I agree about Double Strike, but it would take some code changes, and I'd rather they worked on other things. The way Double Strike works now doesn't seem optimal, but as long as it's consistent, I consider changing it to be of the lowest priority. - I'd say most of the strength assessments for monsters are wrong, particularly for quests. Air Shrills are over-estimated in power, and most of the other stuff seems to be under-estimated. Armies seem to

FE is a really fun game. Lots of bugs to work around, but you can work around most of them. LH looks like it will be a vast improvement, as well. There's no way to know how the new AoW will be, but you can be sure FE is good.

You don't need to buy another copy. I've got FE installed on two computers from Steam and I only bought one. I don't recall entering the serial key twice, though. I entered it once for the one computer, but it should already have it when you install on the second computer. Have you tried just hitting the Install button in your Library? Or is that where it's asking for the key?

As far as playing the beta goes, I'm going to be focusing on bug reports. Maybe there's some aspect of the gameplay I'll disagree with, but then people would often disagree with me, and the one unanimous thing we can get behind is getting bugs fixed. Many gameplay changes can be made through mods, anyway. New players would probably be most turned off by bugs encountered, and bugs can ruin your game. I really haven't focused on this aspect enough so far,
Question re: Tarth/Mancer is Double strike fixed to actaully be -30 accuracy, and will it work with ranged weapons? It would be kinda bad if the ranged weapon faction's abilitiy doesn't work with ranged weapns.
Double Strike is already in the game, and it does work with ranged units. I assume they're using the existing ability, and what's changed is just that they're just givin
