Quoting StevenAus, reply 3Stardock needs to block all human non-allowed locations from ever being decided for the AI to use. IMHO this fix goes in the wrong direction. Instead, anything happening in the world must be under control of some kind of world manager, and that world manager decides whether settling (or building an outpost) is possible independent of which player tries to do it (human or AI). It's the same

I must say that I am disgusted with Stardock running polls about the future of FE while heavy bugs like this one continue to be ignored and the frequency of crashes increases with each version.
We have lots of ideas on how to improve it but the important thing is that we now have a fantasy strategy game engine that is capable of doing whatever type of game we’d like.
This is quite a strange poll. If you have lots of ideas how to improve FE, then just go ahead! The concept is great already, and there are many promising directions to explore. On the contrary, I am not sure that there is enough room for an independent Fall from H

It seems that the developers screwed up entirely on this movement point thing. Will we ever see a sensible behavior?

I just looked up the recent (good) review from Gaming Nexus to make sure. Its resume ran as follows: A collection of average mechanics combine to make a big, complicated, pretty good game. I vaguely remember several similar ones.
Sometimes, FE feels like it’s trying to be multiple games at the same time and as such, never fully develops a single overarching theme.
Customers generally don't make very reliable QA testers. The reasons are (1) customers generally don't know how to give detailed and professional bug reports which can precisely communicate issues and (2) customers are more (rightly) concerned with playing the game then providing sub-standard QA. That is not to say that Stardock should not be taking advantage of "free QA" from their customer pool, but rather that they shou
It really seems like we are playing different games. Did you play Civ V? For many months it was terribly buggy with crashes and all sorts of issues. I still get texture bugs in that game, and the AI often does some wonky stuff. While I think FE can certainly be improved--and I certainly hope they do--I'm having a good time playing it at the moment and I have not crashed once (I started playing with version 1.

That happened to me too - although who is trapped seems to be random. I think you are right, parties in the scenario can grow too large. It does not happen in a normal game. Split up your group; it is too strong anyway. [e digicons];)[/e]
Post actual bug reports, or it didn't happen. You can't expect Stardock to fix things unless you are a lot more specific then "it's buggy". Many issues are hardware specific so you have to bring up your specific issues if you want them fixed.
Just click on my alias, and you may find quite a few. The reaction was the same as to all the other bug reports (3-5 per day or so, just see for yourself). Maybe

It's certainly a waste of time to reply to a post like yours. Bobchillingworth said enough already. For a meaningful comparison you should consider games like Age of Wonders or Civilization 4 plus Fall from Heaven. Concerning the price, those games shipped in a plastic case with a CD and a printed manual, localized to your country... I can only repeat that

I will never understand the mindset of people who suggest that serious bugs (and nuisances, for that matter) need not be fixed because there are (obvious but tedious) workarounds. ("Obvious" after you reload the savegame and try again.) Even a game should not waste our time. Fixing bugs probably should attack the problem from two sides: (1) Fix the easy things immediately. (2) Acknowledge harder problems and schedule their solution for some future version. Providing

I would classify cases of not obeying the game's rules as a showstopper. But if you only put crashes into that category (there are a lot of them too), that's okay with me. I won't quarrel about words. Three central areas (certainly not the only ones) that subsume a lot of bug reports are: Not properly updating the state of the world after some action or event. Unit movement (movement points, pathfinding, planned moves, ...). User interfac

??? If you had read the support forum during the past two weeks, you could have noticed some 20+ bug reports from myself alone, many of them containing detailed descriptions, screenshots, and savegames. Quite often I was told that the bug was known since the public beta test and had been reported several times before. EDIT: BTW it seems like a strange coincidence that the "Latest Post" in the "FE Support" line on the front page never points to any of those showstoppers.

If you are actually listening to customer complaints (as you say) when (if ever) will you start fixing those numerous serious bugs in the game? Fine-tuning is completely pointless as long as even the most basic game mechanics don't work. Or are things so broken that you don't dare to touch them? I for my part won't waste any more time, let alone money, on this game until I see a really long list of bugs fixed in the changelog.

Another good list but...
Except the above game is really good.
this is something I seriously disbelieve. There are quite a lot more bugs than that. This is very true and helpful. [e digicons][/e] (BTW it seems that the UI in general was designed for lower screen resolutions and does not adapt properly. When you are at 1680x1050 or similar, some controls are just too small and some colors very difficult to distinguish.) And, although that was not what really confused me, it apparently pointed me to the missing link! You have a group of (or containing some) champions and open the shop/trade window. Then you navigate to the next champion using the small arrows. His/her weight and encumbrance are not updated unless you unequip and equip some item. This is a small but very annoying issue. You decide to buy an item for this champion to give some benefit without increasing the encumbrance - only to realize
