And I still find tons of leather legplates on enemies heroes, just like in FE. No idea why they are so obsessed with them.
Lokitako
The penalty stays fixed at 2%, tested with 33 cities. Fortress unrest bonus is a bit too much, 10+30 covers for 20 additional cities unrest. A suggestion (beside toning fortress bonus) would be to increase the #of cities unrest penalty based on distance on your capital, but I don't know if that's possible to change. That way you'd keep the fair 2% per city when you're starting out, and the penalty get steeper when you start expanding.
Level 5 Fortress can give up to -40% worldwide unrest. When you can spam rush cities, unrest became a non issue.
Warriors got some love in the 0.52 patch (unreleased yet). https://forums.elementalgame.com/442096
I totally support this suggestion, good points.
Quoting Lokitako, reply 8 Quoting AlienFromBeyond, reply 4What I want to know is how you have a city that is a Level 10 Village. It's specific to this map, there is a village in the middle of it that's owned by wildlands creature. You can conquer it, it has great grain/materials/essences (8/6/4 if I recall good), can reach level 10, but it never get past village... meaning you don't get advanced b
That's a fair point Mistwraithe, I didn't think it that way. And yes, I purposely dragged the game to test some stuff. I could have won many turns ago.
Don't know if it's a bug or inteded, but you can get more than one dragon per structure. If the temple you built falls in enemy hand, the building get destroeyd, but the "resource node" do not. So if you recapture it, you can build a new temple for a new dragon. The Ashwaken Dragon is awarded by a quest chain. But he's vastly inferior to the Storm Dragon you get from research. They are still both really nice for city sieges, Overpower + Flame breath is a nice combo with lo
Not sure this example is applicable to the game in general. It's an abnormal situation you've created here.
Abnormal how? It's just a long game. You get them with research. Warfare: Drills - Siege Weapons - War Colleges Civilization: Economics
Giving some feedback on this, was a problem in FE too. The treasury vault give you 1% on your total money, which doesn't seem much, but every turn you keep making more money. The problem is that in long games it soon creates virtually infinite money, taking away one layer of managment. Also, it benefits from city specific +%gildar bonuses, effectively being 2.5% interest with all the upgrades. When you start snowballing those money, that 1% will give you far more than all
Thanks for the input, I didn't think he could still be alive. He should go down with his last city, I think. So I checked, and indeed he was alive and stationed right over his last city (now in Pariden hands). And then I (maybe) found the problem: he couldn't move. Declared war on him, made him surrender so I could take control, and he couldn't move from the city. Here his position: <img src="http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/595873443310932987/243EFE1925
0 settlements, 0 population, faction didn't die: I had just finished a war with them, and I purposely left their smallest settlement alive. Few turns later, Pariden conquered his last city. But one, single outpost was still standing, keeping the faction alive (I think). TThey still have a power rating and I
I agree, I play in the same way. Trading cities sounds a really cool idea. Something that bother me on the diplomatic approach: the Forge of the Overlord malus. If you get to it, you get a -9 attitude malus from all other players, which is right because they should stop me. That's clearly a show stopper for diplomatic games. Some problems with this, that I'd call plain bugs: 1. The -9 malus is permanent. If I destroy my Forge of the Overlord, other sovereigns
Festival upgrade: Is this intended? In FE the Well - Inn - Festival - Theatre line was intended to help growth and food, now is just more %gildar. It seems pretty redundant to me, with some many +money improvements avaiable.
How do I update it? I've set the Steam option to "Alwasy keep game updated", but I'm stuck on 0.50. Suggestions? Edit: nevermind, I was in offline mode, stupid me.
I think it keeps track of both military strenght and civilization one (# of cities, population), but I never figured out exact rating weights. In my current game for example I'm constantly rushing and swapping first-second place with Yithril, even if we are really different. He has few cities, but a lot of military strenghts. I have basically zero military (just few heroes and tamed beasts), but a 5 thriving cities with high population. I also got 3-4 world achievement build
In FE I always disbanded them, they are just not worth it. You can't even upgrade them with your tech. Same with bandits (really sucky units that cost 9g per turn), and knights of asok. I didn't met them in LH yet, don't know if prices are corrected.
When you complete any research, you get some "points" in that field. Those points are there as knowledge you have gained, and that you can trade. There is no benefit stockpiling these points, they give you nothing, they are meant just as "coin" for diplomacy. When you trade these points with some othe faction, you get their knowledge, meaning your own research benefit from them and gets shorter. I'm not sure how the points are distributed, I think that if you buy points in

You could make the upgrades instant, but cost resources (money for outpost, crystals for abbey, metal for armory, horses for stables, etc) instead of production. Just a suggestion.
1. Two tooltip errors, one on conquering the wildlands city, one on a item ("UnitStat_AIControlChance) 2. Don't know if this is a bug or intended behaviour. In the first turns, while still settling (I had first 2 citys up, really early in the game), out of the blue Emperor Kraxis declared war on me. I hadn't even met him yet. He just found my capital unguarded and
