OP, you are not the first to report this. Some (older?) quest battles give very little xp, while others appear to give normal xp. I can only assume the Devs at some point decided to lower battle xp in quests, probably for the reasons Primal mentions, but changed their minds later on.
Last time I checked, they were immune to spell-type abilities, like Wraith Touch etc. but not immune to physical-type abilities such as Crushing Blow.
Ok. So how did you check? Because I did not know all abilities were classified as physical or spell-like. Or are you referring to damage type?
- My hero picked up two recall scrolls along the way. The second recall scroll I chose to 'use' right away, successfully teleporting me back to my capital. However, the icon on the hero details for the Recall Scroll shows that I still have two available for casting. I check the Equip screen, and there is only one Recall Scroll. Small bug? - AI and Monsters should not be allowed on the same tile together. Just

Dragon lairs are very rare. I believe there's one (or more) Wildland guaranteed to have a Storm Dragon lair. Otherwise, you might play several games without seeing one. You cannot build Dragonriders, by the way. A Dragon lair, just like an Ogre lair or the Knights of Asok, provides a unit for your army every x turns. A Dragon is very strong though; it almost ensures victory by itself. There's also a questline with a dragon as a reward, but you need a pretty badass-army

Maybe the Devs build this in so you wouldn't make a lot of free money out of Season of Blood. Or out of a cycle of declaring war - offering peace - and declaring again. It's easy to abuse. Admittedly, the current situation isn't ideal either.

You always reach level 2 after you defeat a bear. Any bear. As for the Gildar income: I have played vs AI with much less income. They do tend to ignore Unrest, so in your game they may have raised the taxes to a high level.
The Scribe provides extra research also so it's a choice between extra essence or a possibly significant research boost along with access to the Blizzard scroll. Both are viable in certain situations. The Scribe is decent enough; it's the Archivist that's bad.
Yes, the Scribe is a valid option, unlike so many other city upgrades. Keep in mind that those % bonuses for research and Gildar only apply to a city&

Yeah, I meant to say the mechanic was weird, not Primal. I mean, Primal could very well be weird, I just don't know him well enough (at all) to judge.

Swarm got toned down a little. It's a fun mechanic, at the right power-level imho. Maul is still very powerful, but not many monsters have it and you gain a lot of xp for killing even a small bear. In addition, there are only 2 very rare loot items with Maul on them. Spell of Making still requires you to attack AI cities very quickly. I always disable it. Horses and Wargs production is 1/5th of what it used to be: 0.2 per season.

Please tell me there's a small dot between the 8 and the 7... How did you get such a score? I usually score ~20000, sometimes 30000. And that's on Insane. How many opponents did you defeat? Does anybody actually know how the score works? Anyway, congratulations. May the Primal conquer many more worlds!

Yes, you can buy all those nice faction-specific items in the shops of those specific factions. You'll have to be in their territory, obviously, and not be at war with them. They don't have to like you. It's very convenient. The downside is that it's a gamble to pick (or not pick) a 'unique gear'-type of faction trait.

I am no Modder, so people should correct me if I'm wrong: The AI does not do quests as a player does them. I believe a quest is only a single die roll for them. In any case, it would be pretty boring if all AI's were out doing the Master Quest, right? And it would be extremely annoying if you had conquered 2/3 of the map and suddenly get defeated because someone finished his Quest. If you do not like this advantage over the AI, don't do the Quest! I am afraid you've been reading the wrong threads. You cannot buy Quest Maps at the Scroll Scribe. You will have to select the Altar race or create a custom one with Wanderlust to get access to them. Or simply buy them in Altar's shop. If you are desperate, you can always cheat a little and make sure Altar is in the game. I know there's a thread somewhere singing the praises of the Scroll Scribe, but in my not-so-humble opinion, it's almost always better to select the

Pfew, for a moment I thought your Highscore was 90000. Personally, I prefer quality over quantity :P Still, 9000 HP is impressive. Keep up the reports though, gives us forum-lurkers something to read!
