Bought it yesterday and my first impressions are good. For an unfinished alpha is amazingly good. It has a really nice feel to it if you know what I mean, and the UI is an absolute pleasure to use, clear and precise. As for the graphics, I think it may be a love/hate thing depending on the player, but I love them.

I think it does affect you more than you know. If you are involved in a game, which most times you are or you wouldn't be playing it. If the game creates frustration, which, unfortunately, an awful lot of later titles do, then it can ruin your day and cause unnatural behavior. Most modern games are primarily designed to challenge and not entertain. You can lose a hundred times a day, this is bound to have a bad effect on people.

After hundreds of hours spent playing LH, I think I have a hint of what the game may be about. I am also quite capable of evaluating if a game would be suitable for myself or not, I have hairy bit's and a driving license, whatever.
