That sounds pretty cool. Seems to me that 10 years from now, the Stardock network is really going to be something else.

Thank you Brad & Stardock, for providing us with useful utilities and fun games. Thank you for growing the company in a sustainable and independent fashion, so it doesn't crash and burn like so many others have, allowing you to evolve your products, tech, and expertise. And thank you for supporting and investing in the indie eco-system, and for sporting long-term thinking. I now want to stab myself for sounding so sycophantic, but you deserve it.
I'll write more on the particular challenges on LH AI but I will say that if people call the AI in 1.5 "broken" that I think it'll be time to throw in the towel on lh AI. I'll know then that some people have unrealistic expectations.
Please don't let the shrill wankers win. Having modded AI myself, I know how hard it can be to get it right, but I also know people greatly appreciate when it pulls
I wonder if those conditional relations bonuses will produce oscillations
Well done! And from what I gather, we are essentially 'crowd-funding' future AI upgrades and patches too.
Another option to consider - long names tend to get abbreviated into acronyms. You can go for Something Something Elemental Something, and pick the Somethings so that you get a catchy acronym.
Call it Derek Paxton's Elemental : XYZ. It will distinguish it from the former failure, without discarding the brand entirely, and it has a nice "Sid Meier's AC" ring to it. And it's also basically true :) Not to mention using the FFH renown.
Exactly. Unfortunately development has stopped due to a conflict between the publisher and developer, which is tragic because it was close to completion and looked to be an excellent game. As for legendary folk - huh? If you're referring to the founder badge, it's just because I've preordered GC3...
Chaos Chronicles Bridge the gap between bitComposer and Coreplay and make this awesome game happen :)
Ok, new update (10.6MB large) has the AI building pioneers.
I had to opt out of the betas and then opt in again for the latest 1.3 beta patch. It did not automatically update from the previous version of the 1.3 beta that I already had installed. Hopefully the new version was installed - I shall see shortly.
I tested it (rolled back to 1.2 and then re-opted to 1.3), and it seems not to be the case. (80 seaons in, and no AI pioneer even queued) &nb
SC was one of my first computer games, back in second grade. Although, honestly, I'm not a huge fan of melee (crap reaction speed here; mostly played the Mycon :P). I've played SC2 years later and really enjoyed its quirky aliens and humor.
If it can't set the destination to a city if it's one tile away, how can the monster AI attack any cities at all?
en passant
o Now, in the case of Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes, I play the game post-release so I can, in my spare time, update the AI (which is what I’m doing at 9pm on a Monday).
I hope you're not back into your old work habits?
Unackowledged bug; Monsters ruin only me. It is pathfinding
I'm not smart enough to comment on this topic, but I will say this: It's 2013, where's my freaking Hovercar????!!!!
Not to mention, Nuclear Fusion reactor? (been 50 years away for 50 years now...) Personally, I believe the biggest advances in the coming 15 years will be in biotech (stem cell technology and such).
The Indian Ocean thing seemed like a homage to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WScaWdl6TEk&feature=youtu.be&t=7m1s
There are at least 4 games represented there.
How are they divided between you and Soren?
I'm okay with it. Usually you have a Mancer hero tagging along that can stay back, pick up the lair stuff and then catch up due to his +1 bonus. For dealing with multiple stragglers and such scenarios, you can split up your stack into 2-3 smaller ones.
I would like a visual indicator that tells me which cities can rush construction with my current funds.
You forgot the salted pork button
You can get an artificial bonus to growth by queueing multiple pioneers.
Remind me again why I should be using Win8 in the first place?
Third time's the charm
The time delay after pressing Turn is much shorter at late-game.
