Err, none of them have a mini-map... I'm guessing you're talking about LargeMap from 08/11 ;)

Would've been nice to get the images in a zip (or to open in a window instead of downloading). But I guess it's moot since Early Access is right around the corner...
While you're technically right, if they were using Nitrous tech, you'd expect them to announce it given that the announcement mentions Tachyon, which is arguably less fundamental and exciting to announce (though they could be saving it for later). Anyway, I'm just trying to goad them into commenting on it :)
I'm happy that Stardock and several other devs i like have or are in the process of achieving escape velocity. Feels like we've just entered a golden era in gaming!
I spent quite a lot in the last two-three years - probably around 1500-2000$ - but most of it on Kickstarters.

I think SD fears market saturation - aow3, eador, warlck, endless legends... so they want to try sthg different.
I remember that thread, hard to believe it was a year and a half ago. Looks like stardock is going to pioneer that area soon.
I also think it's multiplayer, given Stardock Austin and the infrastructure they're creating. Maybe some sort of MOBA with mass combat?
Rather, the discerning man demands his cat videos in HD.
While it's not strictly a Stardock game, there's this: https://forums.elementalgame.com/448814/page/1/
E2010? Is that some sort of retro-clone? [e digicons]^_^[/e] Seriously though, it looks like they're putting the finishing touches before it's ready to go public beta. Looking forward!
Question is, does ai *need* a 100 billion neurons to rival us? After all, it can cut away many useless functions that needn't be present in every unit. The one thing that scares me, though, is that they might find out the only way to get it to actually do significant work is to seek satisfaction.
I'm curious what's the investment involved here. An engineer and some subscription fees, is that it? Also, is this something you think might be licensed to 3rd parties?
Game is fantastic. I backed it for many many dollarz and.am overjoyed to see it turn out so good and successful! Fwiw I like the crafting system, the fun is in discovering the creative combinations.
How has this affected car accs and congestions?
Is it possible to code that missing with crushing blow triggers an attack of opportunity instead?
You get steam dollars when you sell steam cards, so there's that. (e.g. you may have 2-3$ in your wallet which isn't enough for a whole purchase but why not use it?)
It seems very unlikely given the game's story and setup.
In Warlock, you were able to convert excess cities to Free Cities that would not count towards the maximum city number limit. They provided some small bonus (either gold, mana or fortification), but could not construct buildings / units, and could not be converted back to full cities. There was also a penalty on productivity for cities that were of a different race, which posed an interesting moral and gameplay dilemma (do you raze a Free City of a different race to unl
Cool, all my questions made it! Thanks. A couple more if I may: - What role do shards have? I.e. other than campaign goal for protection and mana nodes, do they serve some other purpose? edit: oh, already answered in the guide - With no actual competing civs, it seems you're testing the limits of 4X definition. Do you even consider it as one? edit: - Do you have a name yet, or are you looking for suggestions?
I doubt it's sarcasm too, tho given he has Derek and Soren you'd imagine they would have thought about that already... Anyway not to harp on it but that's another thing Warlock had, and got right IMO. Just add nerve stapling and you're good to go :)
[quote who="Slashimus" reply="157" id="3472346"] Quoting Alstein, reply 156 I'd say unrest as implemented is pretty unfun. Maybe necessary to prevent overexpansion, but still unfun. Makes it where there is little point in taking cities instead of razing them There are ways to mitigate it so I don't think it's all that unfun. You don't want the player having dozens of cities and a hard cap w
Cool! [e digicons][/e]
- About the Big Bad in this game - will it act mostly scripted (a la Warlock) or more procedural? - Is there going to be an actual Campaign, or is it like Warlock where you play a randomized game with an objective? - Will there be other civs at all? - Will there be wildlands in this game?
