Its a nice quick-start guide, not perfect but nice to teach people about the game :D Madcatter. Also try watching some of the Lets play videos posted. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
When a sovereign surrenders to me and becomes my vassal; all the cities under his/her rule disappears. The lands the cities once occupied cannot be resettled. IMHO the remaining cities should become neutral cities and produce defensive units. Or that the lands former resources are available again for new settlements again.
Fun idea about neutral cities, and agree with the resettling, think it was said before though.
Agreed HeavenFall, very good thinking. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I agree with everything except nr 2 and 3 in the balance section, yes everything, fantastic post.
Trained Units are ridiculously powerful when they level up; 3 units of 5 men in light plate with maces should not be capable of single handedly destroying an entire faction. Played carefully right now, they are. A unit's accuracy and health go up every level. Their damage does not. What that means is that a level 10 unit of 5 will have many many times more
No matter what, its true that there is either a bug in not receiving the XP, or the game telling you that you should receive XP. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
probably qualifies as a stupidpost
Its not a stupid question, its all right to ask, If I were you I would check out the threads created by either Das or Sean. They post these fantastic "Lets Play", where they upload a video of them playing the game, with comments about the game, which is a nice way to see the game without owning it. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I equipped some monster repellant (first time I saw this!) on my hero who was roaming the land solo. 2 turns later I was attacked by 3 air skiths (not sure on name - the scorpions looking thingies). Is this a bug?
Air Quills :D it might be a bug and it might not, (Can't know from the description alone). The monsters doesn't avoid your tile (Which IMO they should), but instead the monsters just cannot see you to
Nice find, it might help to post it on the "FE Support" forum and add a debug though, but thanks anyways! :D Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Like some of the ideas... But did you play the game already? Magnar can already train slaves for one. Not sure what you mean with guerillas joining the Tarth, they using animals to fight for them now... with bows? O_o Rest of the ideas might be very interesting, depending on how they are interpreted by those who are to add it. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
You might want to include the savegame :D Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Seen it once, with anti aliasing turned on on my own laptop, didn't try the steps exactly, not sure I understand them either though, create a sovereign, then load a different game? oh well... Sincerely ~ Kongdej
OIC, my mistake. though i have to disagree as you only get 2 default points to spend on you custom faction. i think us humans are better at exploiting our faction strengths then the ai at this point but hopefully that will change closer to release. a neat idea for an opponent might be a "random" faction choice. what if the ai could throw together a faction and sov based on a random goal for the victory condition (magic, w
It may be a case of the ogres settling where there was magic.
Well if they are, why do the place only turn magical after beating the ogres and searching they're lairs? Seems like very odd behaviour IMO, and that is why I petitioned it. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
This is really frustrating. I'm beginning to wonder, if I am the only one, who experiences this bug.
If I experienced it, I never noticed it, checked my essence based buildings a few times after seeing this thread and they work fine... (Didn't follow your explanation on how to bug it though) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Raledon, the game already have 4 random techs. Some book of fire/earth/wind/water appearing in the magic tree. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
A really good suggestion, annoyed when I put on my stuff on auto/quick combat and my mana pool is drained needlessly. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
*runs around in a small circle, arms waving around, screaming "Aaarh"* Sincerely ~ Kongdej
As for cities, the free defenders are there to defend against minor threats. They shouldn't be able to hold off an army on their own. I think of them as being like the police.
Every sheriff needs a leather hat :) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
It could be a new scout ability. So if a monster is within sight radius of a scout, you can see its intentions Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I agree, that is very vague and an annoying "feature" for the new beta 4 section, hope they upgrade the dialog (been up before though, obviously bears repeating :D) Haven't seen it in 0.952 yet, so dunno if it will change. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Attacked a group of "Ruffians", won the combat, as the combat was finished my hero was deselected, so I clicked him and the game froze for a couple of seconds, then crashed. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7dleb1dx9folmna/debug%20%2812%29.err Sincerely ~ Kongdej
The hero trait that gives +3 damage against opponents in which you have more initiative... Is it me or is it not working? I had 13 attack, so it should go up to 16 with finesse, yet the tooltip said I would only deal 6-13 damage against a 0 armor enemy. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Quoting seanw3, reply 3I do not believe that is the case. I turned it up to 50 and the AI had +500% research. Yikes well I was hoping it would do as Heavenfall said and I was going to crank it to the max but not if it does that!
Take a challenge :D Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Notice how the border creep out like that, its really weird and persists through my own saving, quitting the game, opening the game and loading the same save file. Debug: https://www.dropbox.com/s/38lq16hyd56gkc1/debug%20%2811%29.err And the save game: <a href="https://www
