Quoting RedAsphalt, reply 21 Quoting Azunai_, reply 4or reduce growth to 0 if a pioneer is in the queue? Simple, minimal side effects, and solves the problem entirely. This is good. Works for me. I still want an engineer unit that builds outposts. Spending 30 pop AND losing a few turns of growth just for an outpost means I play Pariden all the time. [/q

I question I have is why were these stragetic spells not being cast throughout the rest of the game? Why now at the end only when you have only one faction left? Is this the first time you've approached Paradin? Were you unaware of the potental damage strategic spells can do? Is there inconsistency to when these strategic spells are being cast?

Good Morning I've be holding back and not installing this mod to-date. Reason is that LH already provides Capitar and Umber. I know that you put you're versions together in light of the two factions being removed since FE beta, but now that they exist, why are they still there....or at the very least, renamed into custom factions? That said, I was wondering how difficult it would be to split your mod into two: First mod being the faction traits, and the second mo

You only receive the bonus if the unit finishes being built on the turn the city enchantments are inplace.

I have the opposite problem I want steam achievements disabled....but can't. I keep getting these useless bloody things popping up on me. Emphasis USELESS. It's a single player game. There is no reason or need to be patted on the back by overload steam.
edit: Everything offers either +50% or +25%, except natures cloak which is +20% + 10% per earth shard. So, to get 70% or less resistance, it would entail, altar armor and 4 earth shards with natures cloak (really 65%) or one of the 50% skills or cloak with no earth shards and natures cloak. So, to shoot for 70% fire resistance is really a task as the game doesn't offer much in this regard.
Was what I was thinkin

They've attempted to address this with the choosing of city types. You don't have access to every building. Perhaps what needs to happen is that more buildings need to be split across the three building types? My wood/stone kinda addressed this as well with wood being needed for early game buildings and stone being needed for later game buildings. If such an appraoch were taken, then if balanced properly, the player (and AI) would have to choose carefully where h
Mods can solve it, but not sure it needs to be solved if the AI could be made to play with the same rules. Still see a few too many pioneers running about.
Which is bizzare because most AI don't have more than 1-2 cities during a game which is frustrating. There are perfectly good places to settle and they have pioneers walking right on by. It stagnates there growth and competition immensely. <

Playing with Crushing Blow reduced to 50% extra damage has made a world of difference. No longer am I just building militia (or skeletons with the Nerco mod) and just running in and swinging. Now I wait and do normal attacks with my hammer dudes....waiting for the right moment before trying to get the edge on my opponents so that lost turn doesn't give the enemy an advantage. I'm also not building only hammer dudes anymore either. I'm finding spears to be very useful for rea

If someone starts building it and it's a world achievement, you cannot race them. In fact, once you have access to the tech, you can hold the improvement in your queue indefinately, and no one else can build it....even if you have no intension to finish it yourself. You are correct. It is a strange mechanic. That is why Parrotmath put together his wondersbase mod.

K, this is frustrating. I replace the Watertower Improvement with a watchtower_new improvement the same way as Parrotmath replaced IronMine, Smelter, Foundry, etc in his wondersbase mode: Thing is, when the Watchtower comes up for level 3 upgrade on my fortress....NONE of my changes take effect. However, even if you like the concept, here are a couple of concerns: 1. Balance. Any faction starting near a wildlands is at a serious disadvantage compared to one that isn’t. 2. (Loss of) Flexibility. You lose some of the open-endedness that the game offers.
Both valid points. In an
