have not played with this mod yet...but as soon as I update my computer this Christmas, I totally plan too! Looks like a real keeper! Thanks for putting it together.
*snip If you attack a city, it should never be a question whether you will win. It should only be a question of whether it will cost you a unit or two. Attacking an enemy city and fighting a really close battle that could go either way might be fun, but it's no way to win a war. *snip
and this is the crux of the matter. There is no way currently to reward players for taking risk
The prequels were 'franchise sales' movies. That's all. Just pack on all the toys and games and collectables. Sell. Sell. Sell. Lucas lost sight of what his audience wanted. His audience wanted a visionary experience.....and instead they got Jar Jar Binks....sigh.
I'm interested in MoM 2.0
As a pure gamer, I'll stick to where games can be played at there best: The PC. I will end up with neither. (though I'm certain a PS4 will end up at my parents one day and I do occasionally play multiplayer games with family)
Quoting merlinme, reply 27 Brad has clearly said in interviews and online posts that one of the main things which motivates him is interaction with users. Presenting a certain "face"or image to the public is a decision made as part of developing a business strategy. e.g Positioning yourself in the market as the "anti-EA".
He got my +1
Does Demolish Building even work properly? I heard stories back in 1.2 that the effect from a building actually doesn't stop when you destroy said building, and thus you could perpetually repeat a building's effect through that loop. As to Removing Forest, I would love it if there was some, any, sort of benefit to cutting down trees.
I've found rlane48's Ginsu Knives_v2.0 mod to be very good. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/elemental_fallen_enchantress/21/ At the very least, it has all the file locations in where and how to mod knives...
@Illauna Yeah, I figure some of my ideas are quite extensive. I won't go into the financials of 'is it worth it for SD'...that's up to them. Some of those ideas could possibly be included in DLC's to help offset the development cost in making the game more dynamic. @coyote303 You're welcome to disagree. ;) I'm just a little curious though....why is not building any outpost upgrades 'just right' ? (this is not meant to be trollish...I'd
Great list! [e digicons]k1[/e] You haven't specified the types of future updates, so I will list the conceptual ideas I've thought of in the past. Even if these were part of DLCs: Start Location Option in the Setup - Have a togglable preffered start with options: Middle, Edge, Corner, Random - When the map is generated, it places you (within reason) as close to your preferred location without violating other startup restrict
Would love more tracks to listen to. Having triggered event music would be really cool.
. Otherwise, it will be nice to play KOTOR and KOTOR2 without spending a week trying to get the game to run on Windows 7. I've been able to get KOTOR to run most of the time but KOTOR2 is a pain.
This is the main reason why I haven't upgraded to win7 64-bit yet. The multitude of older games that I run and enjoy replaying far exceed the current existing applications and games being released. Even with FE:LH; ever since my computer has
As cool as it would be, I'd rather them not have Admiral Thrawn actually. They're GOING to screw it up and the thought of having my impression of Thrawn...mismanaged...is not an appealing prospect. That said, if JJ Abrams wants to promise the style of 4,5,6 in
I'm curious to see what they do with regard to the extended universe stuff. There is so much post-Return of the Jedi canon out there I wonder if they'll adapt it or just discard it. +1 Is it possible for FE:LH to receive this treatment please? It would be very very nice if I didn't require steam to load to play the game.
Now that SD has released there own version of an undead sovereign, do you have any plans/intensions of changing your mod to become more similar (or dis-similar) to there release?
