I feel compelled to write more here...sorry for the wall of text... Frogboy, In light of the Leaders DLC, I think the entire modding community sees the same diliema you do. They are just not certain how you plan to tackle the problem. You've cracked game wide open to free modding (which is awesome) but that in turn has the consequence of closing off the 'magic' of the game, as anyone can now release their own 'DLC'.<
Also as a note, the entire industry where I sit is now moving towards SaaS (Software as a service). Consumers (Enterprise included) now want to pay x amount per month, instead of expensive license fees up front, even if the monthly cost ends up more than the up front cost. I wonder if the gaming industry will ever shift to this model. Based on the heart attack many gamers have over DLC/online only/etc, I sense It may t
Well, I'm not SD....so whos to say...but I'd wager with my cold, shallow, reasoning that their response would be one of silence. Customers will response with their pocketbooks and if enough money comes in, SD will respond by releasing another DLC of similar quality. This cycle will continue until customers stop paying.

If you want to keep the Master Quest or if that bothers you a lot, you can delete this file: XD9_NoMasterQuest
or SD could fix it so that when you don't have the master quest victory condition set then you don't get the master quest wildland popping up...<

Good Morning It's probably hardcoded....but I have to ask. Since 1.5 rolled out, the feature where the player can rotate his selected buildings during manual placement has been disabled for some unexpected or disappointing reason. Is there the slightest chance that this is some xml trigger or something that can be reactivated? I am finding it excruciating painful on the eyes when my placed buildings look completely out of place...

Well, my rant isn't going be as long, but I'd like to think it's as important. I just spent an hour attempting to start a game where I was centrally located on the map so that I could have the benefit of the doubt that I was properly encircled by AI players so that the game that I play would be about MY interactions with the AI. The game so infrequently places you where you NEED to start, it's so very frustrating. Please, either introduce world wrap so that all s
When a 4x game is cleared out of random stuff and monsters, and the slaughter of the AI remains, I will often start a new game. The first 30% of a 4x game is ALWAYS the most fun for me. Make a game where the goal is to rise from some tiny empire to reach a lofty goal while fighting the world with monsters, a mad king, sour magicians and other stuff that is in my way. I dont care about a balanced AI opponent. I want random events t
Mostly play custom leaders so new leaders aren’t of much interest. So only new leader traits might be useful, but probably not even worth £4. Might still get it, but really not worth it Worst DLC so far IMHO.
This. To this end, this DLC would become more appealing if all of the sovereigns added something to the custom sovereign builder. Nevertheless, some do...so there is some new variation.
Life and Death schools can still only be selected by Kingdom and Empire allegiances respectively. So no change there. Personally I think that's for the best (although I realize some would like like the restriction to be removed - each to their own I guess).
I agree that it's for the best. However, they still need to add Kingdom creatures for the Binding Trait. (Yes, I know Parrotmath has a mod...but that sort of thing should really be part of t

In prefering singleplayer, I would rather they maximize gameplay.

Thought of another thing that drives me up a hillside... As you may know from my previous posts, I really enjoy the aesetics within this game: The art style, the ability to detail your city design, customize your armies, etc. However, when it comes to expanding my cities, expanding them towards hills and mountains just drives me batty ! Having the hill/mountain flatten for the sake of the city completely destroys the emersion
