You may want to moderate your phrasing here buddy. Stardock have adopted a 0-tolerance policy on flaming on these forums. About your crashes. Stardock are VERY interested in seeing your debug's for these crashes. I'd suggest you upload them to http://drop.io/ or if you don't know how to do that, contact and work with them. I'm sure that your situation can be improve

I agree with the others. You have to expand more agressively. Use caravans to ramp up your food income. But if you're bored.....why have you turned off notable locations/quests. Isn't that asking for a dull game? For me that part of the game is almost funnier than the 4X part :) Asmodean
I would totally love hotseat :) Would be great to play this against my son :) Chuck my vote up to hotseat ^^ Asmodean
About the misses....I'm just not seeing them. Did you start a new game? Because a saved game will be tied with the XML files from 1.07, and that will produce weirdness. Asmodean
Also the "Stop whining" posts are terrible. They want criticism so people are giving it to them. How about you stop being fanboys?
Perhaps, but I would much prefer to read criticism in a polite and constructive manner, than reading some of the cry-babies that seem to gather on these forums. Seriously....why can't ppl just talk politely to eachother. Asmodean
actually i disagree. it is impossible to train any units beyond basic equipment without iron. that can sort of clinch things to my mind. i had a game with three settlments and no iron (before i knew about resource revealing) and i ended up giving up in frustration after 2 hours play. not fun. at least the other resources have a spell that produces limited production. iron has only mines, and you may be 30 techs in befor you get the
wow. thank you for your incredibly helpful advice. that will really help me in the beginning of the game. i bet i can get all of those buildings up by turn 10. and it works so well for mp too! because everyone can build those 1 per game buildings! oh and that "quit whining" bit is always a hoot! its like people don't realize that they are whining about people whining!&nbs
Definately something I would like to see too :) Asmodean a.ka.a Morten
Erm.....Brad is the CEO of Stardock. While others on the development team may (or may not) have underperformed, the buck stops at Brad. He calls the shots, and it is on him that blame must be laid if stuff goes wrong. He is only doing what any leader should do. And kudos for that. Asmodean a.k.a. Morten
*SNIP* Even you recognize his was at best a waffling 'apology' - akin to 'I'm sorry you made me mad'. A real 'apology' would have been "...and if that version of the game is considered flawed..." Why is this an important point to make? -First, Brad sold the game in part on the promise that it wouldn't be released early. Reasons he gave include 1) that's how SD works 2) he has other
I can second this. In my last game, one of the AI factions had -10 to -20 food in each and every city that I conquered. And by the end...when I had conquered all his 12 cities, I had found only 1 food resource. No way in h... that he could have supported all those cities with only 1 food resource. And this was on easy AI setting, so the AI shouldn't be able to cheat at all. This bug needs addressing by Stardock, please :) Asmodean
Yup....I had the exact same thing happen in one of my games.
Quoting jreynol2, reply 151 15 min until it is no longer even day-0, and now I need to go to bed. Pretty disappointed that I sat here and waited all day for absolutely nothing. This should have been ready first thing in the morning. The really unfortunate thing about the patch not being ready until late in the evening is that it's left plenty of time for people to pick up the game
Yup....updated driver, and now it works :) Morten
Thanks - hadn't thought of that. I believe it is some months since I last checked for updated graphics drivers. Will doo so and report back :) Thanks for trying to re-create :) Morten
Can anyone help with this?
I have a problem with Deskscapes. I like to switch between desktop backgrounds. Some days I will want a .dream running, and some days I just want a picture as my background. Now that is where my problem is, because when I try to set a picture as my desktop background, Deskscapes won't let me do it. Or rather, the dream still appears as my backhround - even after a reboot. How do I get my PC to accept a picture as the background....short of uninstalling Deskscapes, because I st
As a European by-stander, I feel qualified to comment on this. I have no problems with America. Tru, many foreigners think less of the US now than they did 8 years ago, but I am not one of them. What I hear from those that do think less of the US today (and among my friends this is actually a majority) is not so much the war in Iraq. Nor is it the fact that Bush lied about the WMD's. What really pisses many people here in Europe off is the whole "let's do away with human rights for ter
Yup...Pre-order placed, and looking forward to playing ;)
Pre-order placed. Looking forward to the game :) Morten
So people who make more money are those that "actually produce stuff". The varsity, so to speak. :( Interesting to hear whose lives are more valuable than others. Perhaps the republicans should consider the monarchy instead of democracy. That way you could be sure to keep the power in the hands of those who "deserve it because they produce stuff", instead of giving power to representatives from the ignorant masses. Draginol - that post was way way off.
This is a wet dream come true. Can't wait to read lots of info about the coming game. (Brad...that was a hint for you. Lots of info, ok!! ;) ) Morten
Charles, if it makes you feel any better, I did the same thing. I was thinking when it said, "pick one" it actually meant to pick ONE. I guess I'm a bad test-taker.
Yup...that accounted for most of my incorrect answers. They say "Name One etc..." and then they expect you to answer "all of the above"??? Still managed to get 84% though :) Not bad for a Euro-punk like me ;) Morten
So, Sunday marked the start of the eagerly anticipated start of the Open Beta for EA/Mythic's huge MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. But all is not well in the kingdom of Denmark. In fact, things are downright rotten. While the start of the beta went almost without hitches in the U.S. and Oceania, the European beta start has become an ongoing nightmare for developer Mythic and their European customers. To maintain the server infrastructure and handle the accounts an
