And now that the game IS underway on Steam, I wil of course be more than happy to buy it. Looking forward to it even. Should have been available there from the get go of course. Hope Stardock have learned their lesson on this one!

Belittling the issue or closing your eyes to it doesn't make it go away. Not all signs point to the fact that the exclusivity deal has hurt sales in such a way, that there simply isn't funds available to give this game the same kind of support, that Stardock is otherwise known for. Now, granted....I have to take other people's words for that. But this review, for instance, isn't really what is normal for almost 1 year after release of a Stardock game: <a href="https://www.yout
No thanks indeed. I am holding out for the Steam Release. And if that doesn't happen anytime soon, then well....I am still having tons of fun with Galciv 3.
Without changing any of the xml code, there should be settings within the game that will allow you to change somethings around. You can increase the scroll speed of the camera if that would make things any easier, and you should also be able to change the UI from being set to "normal" to "large" (assuming that your monitor is able to accommodate the change, which it seems like it can).
Thanks. I had forgotten about the
When playing in ludicrous galaxy size, I find myself constantly zooming in and out on the minimap. However, I play on 4k resolution on a 27" monitor, so I have a lot of screen space to play with. This begs the simple question: Is it possible to double the size of the minimap? Or at least make it 1,5 times larger?
Ascension crystals give additional research to factions with the Ancient trait. But I suspect that you're correct that the AIs don't change behavior based on victory type.
Thank you :-) I wasn't aware of the bonus to ancient trait civs. Since my current civ has that trait, I better start grabbing those :-) Cheers
I very much agree that Crusade is the best Galciv game ever, and even better than Stellaris in some respects (which is really saying a lot). I would think that if you brought Multicore AI and the Multiplayer enhancements into the base game, then those would make the base game just that much better, yet still leaving enough of stuff in the expansion to warrant (maybe even mandate) a purchase for anyone interested in the game. Cheers from Asmodean
In my current game, I have disabled the Ascencion Victory option, yet I still see the AI grabbing Ascension Crystals. Do the crystals serve any other function, or is it just that the AI is not programmed to change behavior when that victory type is disabled? Cheers from Asmodean
I am really wondering this as well....anyone know this?
they are aware of the problem, but it does not seem to be a priority issue. Ticket #TPW-396-70987.
Does not seem to be a priority issue. Maybe someone needs to re-prioritize. It makes playing on larger map sizes a nightmare. Really disappointing :-(
And patch 1.01 didn't fix the minimap either. It still resets each and every turn. Come on Stardock....get your s**t together, ok?
Can this be related to some weird behaviour I am experiencing? I don't have crashes - I can run the game fine, but every time I start Galciv III I get the Steam pop-up with the text "Preparing the game to run for the first time"....
Hey Seilore, Thanks for the clarification - good info. Bad implementation by Stardock then. I see no reason why unavailable terraforming projects should appear in the planet's build list. It only serves to confuse the user (in this case me). /Asmodean
I found a planet of very high class (21) that I can't build any terraforming improvements on. It's not special in the sense that it is not hostile in any way...just a normal planet with a high planet class. To go through the options mentioned previously in this thread: Planet is not hostile Planet does not have any special resources that I have sold off There is no construction queue on the planet
Don't you just love coming in to a thread titled "Game has a lot of issues" in which the OP describes exactly ONE issue [e digicons][/e] People really need to dial down the drama.
Ok...I did not actually know that repositioning the map with the middle mouse button also recentered the minimap. Will have to try that :-)
I can confirm that patch 1.0 has done nothing for the minimap. I still resets itself every turn, or on clicking Idle Ship. Also: Am I alone in wishing for hotkeys to center minimap to current map position? Or possibly an option to alter the size of the minimap?
No...it is indeed extremely annoying. Also...I can't find a way to center my minimap on a spot of my own choice. Is that impossible? The entire minimap functionality as it is right now is extremely disappointing: * I would like to make the minimap bigger if I choose to do so * I would like to be able to center the minimap to where my current screen is Please fix :-)))))

So...what seems like a long, long time ago, Stardock was making this new game that was hyped (not by Stardock) as the next Master of Magic. This game was called Elemental: War of Magic. Now, as it turned out, all was not well with Elemental. Many people reported bugs - if they could even play the game - because the engine that the game was developed for wasn't compatible with many configurations of computers. Luckily Stardock had...and indeed still have...this awesome CEO caled Br

Since updating to Fallen Enchantress version 0.980.1 [Beta] aka Beta 5, everytime I restart my computer, I get a prompt to download Beta 5 again. When I do so, SDC correctly tells me that I can't update, since the latest version is already installed on my PC. How can I resolve this?
I have played for a couple of hours. I'm still very much in the early stages of my first game in beta 4 on normal difficulty, on a large map, with 4 opponents. I am getting my butt nicely handed to me. Loving it so far. Wanted to vote "Excellent", but have only voted "Good" because of this reason: - Since last playing the FE beta, which is a few months, my email address has changed. The game would not allow me to log in, because of

I can confirm a bug with Hunting the Garrote. I have just killed the Garrote, and now I get an objective that tells me to "Destroy the Wildings" It doesn't give me a location, however. So either this location is hidden in FoW (Can quest locations be hidden in FoW?) or there is a bug with the quest.
