You go make your gildars your way and I'll make them my way. That way we will bpth be happy. Hope you enjoy 0.91. I will be enjoying 0.86.
Only because they changed or removed little things that you liked, you ignore all the great things they have done so far in 0.912? You are kidding? Right?
Okay, so maybe you like slumming. I personally don't like being poor; not even in a a fantasy. It is a real drag. After a couple turns without money I find myself vacuuming the back bedroom or making a pork roast. I am eating well and my apartment is cle
I have a post elsewhere which explains my dislike for 0.91. I miss General Corrodius as an opponent. I like my forests dark, deep and impenetrable. The new scout ability make walks through the forest the same as a walk through a grassy field. I miss the several things previously available early in the game: free resource builds, 3 move units, the Aura of Commerce spell, having lots of guildar. I find I would rather do housework than play 0.91. On the other
I have uninstalled beta 0.91 and reinstalled 0.86. I am hoping Stardock comes to their senses and does something like this in beta 4. To do this, go to the directory where the FallenEnchantress-0.86_beta_setup file is located (I found it in c:\Users\username\Desktop\ where 'username' is your computer user name) and delete it. This places the file in the recycle bin, beyond the reach of the uninstaller. Next go to your control panel and uninstall FE. Go to
I suspect that Stardock's idea of game balance is to remove everything that is fun. They certainly have managed to remove most of the things I found to be most fun: the Sovereign General Corrodius, the Aura of Commerce Spell, free developments early in the game, 3-move units, large armies early. Strength, Dexterity and Constitution are things I can relate to; the replacement values I have no intuitive feel for them.
The principle advantage of Legacy of Serrane was that it provided extra gildar early in the game. Even with this advantage other players considered it to be mediocre.
Seemingly "Aura of Commerce" is and enchantment for 15 mana and 1 mana upkeep that increases gold production of enchanted city by 10%, that is Nice enough in itself, moving "Legacy of Serrane" up to mediocre abilities, or somewhere between mediocre and strong.
I reported this in 0.86 and they didn't fix it. So, I'd guess it to be intentional. It would be nice for them to at least put in an option to have the girl ask to stay.
[TYPO] Spell Description -- "Paragon;" The last sentence, "If any of these stats is 3 or lower the spell cannot be cast." This sentence is a relic of of the 0.86 version and should be singular since it only applies to hit points now.
Did I blow the download?
I am running Vista. I had to click "Start," "Windows Button-R," click "Browse," right-click "DownloADS," click "explore," and click on the listed down load file before it would change my shortcut.
The edge scrolling is much smoother. This has added a lot to the ease of playing the game for me at least.
I had trouble with this too. Kongdej pointed me in the right direction
As for the spellbook, I would point to: https://www.elementalgame.com/fallen-enchantress/spellbook but as there is a new beta about to be release, and the spellbook already seemingly a bit out of sync, meaby it won't be accurate at all after the beta.
I notice that my military might occasionally skyrockets to an astronomical number, like 2320 from 218 for part of a turn. I suspect this is a symptom of a divide-by-zero phenomena.
There has got to be a better way, but I did succeed in killing Abeix. "Pandemonium" spells work from a distance. So I am standing there with a summoned elemental doing 10 points of damage per turn to Abeix on the only tile next to Abeix, while two spell casters with access to Pandemonium spells each cast one spell each turn to keep Abeix: Stunned, Slowed, Weakened. This means I was standing there for 50+ turns; not real entertaining, but it works.

Question: Is there a source which indexes spells against school of magic and level required to cast? EDIT: It would also be good to know if some spells are not available to some factions.
[TYPO] Inconsistent Spelling; Description "Ruins of the Imperium" -- There are two spellings "Imperia" and "Imperiia" for the same place. I suspect only the first is correct.
As seanw3 said in another thread.
Beta is next week now. They just posted a dev journal about needing to rewrite some black slavery jokes in the quests...
[BUG] When running a custom kingdom sovereign, if you build an outpost next to a drake lair, the game will tell you "Your faction cannot utilize this resource." When you click on the grayed out "Build" button, the game will still develop the resource though. You will only get one drake from the site though.
What kind of criticism did it receive? The only criticism I could imagine would be a complaint about it being an unpolished game mechanic. [Disingenuity] Although it is possible to recruit forest drakes and other monsters, there is no way to custom design them. This would add so much to the game, that I can't believe it is intentional.
[Punctuation Hick-up] Burning Battle Axe description -- The phrase "The blade of this great axe is fixed with twin citrine's" should be "The blade of this great axe is fixed with twin citrines." The use of the apostrophy indicates possession where there is no possession; except possibly the demonic kind.
[TYPO] "Amulet of Flames" description: The phrase "Quendar ar eknown to use it for pleasure" should be "Quendar are known to use it for pleasure."
In the original WoM the player could summon a whole swarm of beasties. This was a lot of fun and led to much monster bashing, but it was seen as a serious imbalance in the game. I notice Stardock avoids previous errors like the plague and probably misses out on some good ideas as a result.
