Oops! I mean custom Pioneers, not custom sovereigns.
If you turn off "disable particle effects," and delete all custom sovereigns from all saved games, then create 3 move Pioneers in a new game, the "bugged unit" will not appear in any subsequent new games for as long as "disable particle effects" remains off. I realize that is convoluted, but hey, what do you expect from a FORTRAN77 programmer.
I play this game because I find chaos to be entertaining. If I wanted order, I would play at being an accountant. My alignment is firmly CN. I can't see myself being a city planner. I want my cities to be different; very different. I think the buildings we have are too vanilla. Why can't everything be as exotic as a developed shard. I suspect if you go with a one tile limit, you will only be catering to the accountants and the cops.
[TYPO] The Darkling Rider has a listed movement of two, but moves 5.
If a death shard is incorporated into a non-fallen city or outpost, it becomes a life shard. I suppose this could be intentional, but it seems odd.
Lol, Washington. Better off just heading to Stardock HQ.
Washington? DC or state? If state, I am just across the river in Oregon. My record thus far is making it to season number 136. Love to see your set up.
I've been using pastebin.com. Maybe I am just lazy, but learning to use one mailbox facility was pushing it for me.
It would be nice if some of the other elemental types had low-level spells with the destructive capability of the fire elemental spells. Right now, if your sovereign is only an Earth elemental disciple, they might as well go hide until they can recruit a champion with fire.
I didn't realize you could create custom factions. How are you doing this?
Yay! A record for me. The farthest I ever made it before was turn No. 118. Of course, the debug.err file is too large to post. It seems that avoiding the "Economics" tech helps me play longer. I wonder if it has something to do with all those roads between all those outposts?
The saved game problems seem to happen when you load autosave or quick save files. As I recall, it didn't happen in the .77 version. Anyway, manual saves seem to work better in .86, although if you save and reload in the middle of a wildlands quest, it forgets you had the quest.

Your manual save works? How astonishing. My manual save button does nothing at all.
Need iiiinpuuuut!!!
Can't change Pioneers. They be hardcoded lad.
Maybe your platform won't create 3 move Pioneers, but it works just fine on my platform. The game calls them something else, but they still create cities if you don't change the gender. Only females can found cities.
[Minor Issue] If you select the "Bandit Lord" profession and then leave one of the bandits behind to guard the city; the game will keep him queued separate from the city, but still on the city tile.
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.
Input . . . instead of using the canned pioneers and outcasts, I suggest you edit one of these units to make a custom unit with both the "Conscripted" and "Weak" traits, change the weapon to a "Two-Handed Staff," and add the "Scout" trait. This gives you a cheaper unit which still has the capability to make a new city.
I find that if I set a unit to auto-explore and then try to manually move it each turn, it acts as if it wants to auto-explore; but then there is no way to turn off auto-explore.
Check to nsee if your system clock is using the correct date. If your date is way out whack, the game will think you are attempting to play when your license has expired and will give you a "No Key" error..
Sigh! The picture is better when viewed "in-game," but I did the best I could.
Okay, I think I have a pic for you. I would have loved to load this as my avatar. The file size is okay, but the pixel count is too high and I couldn't find a way to change the resolution. http://www.flickr.com/photos/oldporridge/6879216898/in/photostream Enjoy!
If FE was a house. And the BETA are stages along its building. At what stage of construction would the house be? IMHO, We are in demolition. After the first patch in WOM I regularly got past turn 200. In FE I have yet to get to turn 200. If the stability issue isn't fixed, FE is going to go the way of WOM>
Would you care to explain how I go about getting the pics to you. And do you prefer a male or a female pic?
This bug was supposed to have been fixed for Beta 0.86, but still exists for custom sovereigns. To see an example, go past the "Create Sovereign" pop-up; click the cancel button; back out to the "Who are you" pop-up; re-enter the "Create Character" facility; select female and create a sovereign, but do not select any clothes. The sovereign will appear fully clothed at this point. Play the game and obtain a helm. Remove any body armor and equip the helm. If you se
