Ask that journalist friend if they have boilerplate language written already for all the COD games, EA games, MW#218, etc. coming in the future. They can just treat it as an Ad-Lib and fill in the nouns and verbs and post it as a review. Just kidding. On a serious note. A personal request. I've been listening to the same music for 2 years now. lol. Can us beta folks get some different music. Or just an option to turn off that one main them

Im sure at some point the 9 army slots will be moveable like the build q is and that can give you a general layout for your troops. Some of the stuff they put in right near the end of the beta polished everything up so much I think they're just letting the dust settle for a bit. It is a great game though. Dont let the battles get you down. The monster and such beat up on the AI pretty good, and today for the first time I seen some shrills attack
At the first level up for a city you can choose Conclave to make a research city more or less. It lets you build more research buildings with bonuses than other city types. You can still build other things but it specializes in research. I got no idea about achievements. Making it till turn 100 or so is often one in itself.
got beat by 5 seconds, jeezz u guys are fast.
1,2,3 are correct. 4 If you get it from stardock its yours. No need to ever be online again unless you want an update (and steam doesnt get anything off the top for Stardocks hard work).
In the options you can change the Power Ranking bar to be color coded for threat level. If they mad at you they will show up red or orange. Helps you from wondering why you just got pulled into war. You want to get your hands on some influence early on. [Prestigious locations], It mellows out the A.I. and can be worth a lot in trades as the game goes on. Even though when you level up the new spells dont look like there worth it, do it. Its worth it late
sean, Can you fulfill my Lazy Zombie request? I know you'll be up for a couple more hours.
If I wasn't listening to the presidential debate at the moment I would feel your whole "Hope and Change" thing. It is a great game, but I don't feel a tingle up my leg. To Stardock!!! "an honorable mention in the history books for your devotion to this wisdom. "
I dont want a balanced mod though. Again Im lazy. Just some zombie leader out to cause havoc and get slaughtered in the meantime. Just sending zombies out to screw with the AI's plans would make me smile a long mile. This multi-threading AI may not be able to make sense of a completely unbalanced zombie infestation. Or maybe it could. Im just screwn' around, but it would be fun(ny). At least you didnt say, "well why dont you do it?", lik
I'll make this quick, they are knocking on my door right now!!! Can someone make a quick and cheap Zombie mod using just the few different versions of Butchermen. Maybe they get dogs also. But nothing more. Champs cost to much to be able to recruit. cant train anything but more zombies. All zombies explore automatically (not sure thats possible). Oh come on! You know it would be fun for a couple hours. Just a lazy zomb
Forgive me here for asking this, but if this game goes well for you guys,.... CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A BUSINESS SIMULATION GAME!? You can make it fun and goofy at the top, but serious underneath. The attention to detail you folks have with numbers and making them relate to the macro world is amazing. If you do make one, I will personally pledge to buy every game you ever make from then on. I'll even set up a trust for my kids th
Only has happened to me 3-4 times the whole beta and haven't seen it but once in this current game. After a save load, very rarely the cursor and the tiles seem to fall out of whack. After it happens; To select a tile on the main map, or in tactical that you want to go to or make an action, you only get the bottom 1/3 of the tile in mind and the top 1/3 of the tile below it to click on. If you try and click on the center of the tile you want to goto, you will end up go
Maybe I didnt explain well... I just did another city takeover. I peppered everyone with my army, but after they all fell under 25% or so they started to run away from battle and not engage. I had to chase each one down and kill them. I haven't had many open field battles to compare it to. I guess it could be the difficulty? I'm playing one below expert, is that the reason? I've never played below expert.<
I did not see this out in the wild (and have never seen it in earlier builds), but I was attacking magnar early and took 3 cities of his. 2 of those battles had an issue where the defending AI would take damage and retreat correctly, but after their lead (strong spearmen) had been taken down, the 3-4 other defenders who had originally retreated did not want to fully commit to attacking my only remaining archers (all my folk were dead besides the archers). Defenders would go towa
I think maybe adding a special skill / spell to the city archer militia to be town volley. Where the town fires a volley of arrows that hits every opposing unit in the stack. Have a cool down of 1 or 2 turns for balance. Also, I don't know if the city bonus to defense is working appropriately right now. I notice if I auto resolve some attacks I have a great chance of winning (or losing troops), but if I tatically fight the battle ther
I actually like the idea at its heart. I was thinking more of a champions/sov store. As you get new techs a random weapon/armor from that tech is thrown in the champ/sov store and you pay nothing for it. Like an inventory system type thing. I mean he's the sov right? cant he at least get some free armor to give to his favorite champ? Anything. Something. Or maybe just a sov's store and he has to take something all the way across the
Quoting mdonais, reply 17Any chance we can get a discount code or a way to buy it half price on steam? I would pay $10 to buy it again on steam so I never need to patch but not $40. Mike. I'll see what we can negotiate but I wouldn't count on it.
Its got to be a pain, but if you can figure it out Im pretty sure a lot of the people here would throw some more money your way. You
It is possible to mod the UI using desktopX. I did it in E:wom and I done it in FE. They are not compiled or anything, just open up the files and edit away.
I use Stardocks Fences program for every computer I work with. If you've never tried it give it a whirl. Again its me being selfish (and lazy). Thanks for letting me know it is possible with ease. Thanks
Yeah thats what I meant. Wasnt sure how hard coded all of the UI is. I have to look all over the screen to get my info. If I could move a couple into better spots (as a personal preference) I would love it. edit. The power rank is moveable. I just want to move everything else because Im selfish. lol
I don't have access to a gaming computer for 3 hours. I guess everyone will just have to wait until then to play. Wouldn't be fair otherwise...
Do you know if its possible to do the movable UI? I've been clamoring about it for a while. I dont get the chance to read the forums that often, so Im not sure anyone has answered. Just FYI, I alt-tabed because I just got my butt handed to me after 20 or so tu
holy jebus. hard to get a word in edgewise here. 6 pages of comments in a few hrs? Quote; "Shortened the desc on the Dark Spire so ol' man Wardell doesn't have to get out his reading spectacles". You've already thought and done everything I like but 1. Can we get a movable UI? It would make the game feel so slick. It already feels slick. Im asking for olive-oil-on-a-tarp-on-a-hill-in-your-front-yard slick. Having to loo
can someone get tjuicy or whatever his name is to change his picture so that it doesn't look like the star-wars ninja kid from youtube. I was so happy with my first play-through (with no essence in my home city mind you) that I stepped away to wait for a final product. In my opinion all you need is a tactical AI that beats the crack (corn) out of you at normal. Give me a beating I wont forget! Thats what makes me want to play your games. GalC
> I suppose I'm not the only one who thinks "impressions" refers to impressions acquired through repeated playing Which is why I took three games to about turn 100 before posting. By turn 100, I would have usually decided the game in the previous versions. I consider myself able to extrapolate well enough from 100 turns, the change log, and my previous experiences of the game. A bit better than this, at least...
Good work folks! Really. I've been playing this same game (and galciv) for a long time, but the intro and the ease into the intro is heart thumping (not a tingle up the leg though). Whatever anyone thinks about balance is something to work out later, but for now this looks like a nicely cut stone. I want to say "Damn"! Keep it coming. Worth the wait. One thing with it being so smooth... I want to move as much of the UI around as possib
