A couple of questions

1) How do I set a city to Research?

2) How do I view the achievements that I have unlocked?

Really enjoying the game!  One of the best strategy games I've played in years.

Click in the top right portion of the screen on the box that says Research.

CTRL+TAB, then select Achievements.

At the first level up for a city you can choose Conclave to make a research city more or less.  It lets you build more research buildings with bonuses than other city types.  You can still build other things but it specializes in research.

I got no idea about achievements.  Making it till turn 100 or so is often one in itself.

I see.  So there is no way to set a city to "research" like in Civ where you can set it up to gain science or culture every turn?  A lot of times I run out of buildings to build and the city just sits on Zzzz.  It's a small annoyance, but it's nice when you can right click your army movement to end the turn rather than having to hit the end turn button because a city is in Zzzz.

it's not just like civ, however, if you build certain improvements in your cities you can get money or research bonuses when you aren't building anything. which will make it count as building something for the purposes of auto turn

Yea an "Idle" option for cities would be nice, to state that the city should shaddap about not working.

As said before, there is a hidden "Sub-Interface" when you click Ctrl+Tab. I bet around 95% of all players trying out FE will miss this part. (I did ask for a visual button for this interface in the main menu to notify new players of its existence...).
