I'm not sure if anyone would like this idea but its been bugging me because I dont get as much time to play this as I would like. Can we get an option in the setting to start with a basic city? It doesn't have to be above level one. Maybe 3 turns or so from it. Just something to get you off the ground a little faster while your real life children are nipping at your heals (pun intended). It would save me a half an hour at least each time I start a game

Your basically making a npc faction. I like the idea. I've been getting my butt kicked every saturday as of late. But having to worry about an expanding wild-land would definitely add a little extra flavor. Not sure they would need to take over cities because they roam in their own land. encircle the city with the wild-land and that should be enough "flavor".
I second this, but in their defense, you can look at the level bar when you lick a city and it shows a lighter bar extending past the brighter one if more food is available. But I would still like to see the base number to the left.
I've got to second that request. Im really just looking around the map more than moving, and having the pathfinder pop on and off is a little annoying.
This looks great. I've only been able to play a few turns on 1.0 but I felt like I should mention this because I've got all this stuff for free. Thanks! The shadows look great, but on goodie huts, crystal crag etc they don't look like part of the landscape per-say. Its a weird trick for my eyes to figure out what I'm looking at even though I know what I'm looking at. The sun seems to be at 12 o'clock as to not show the that there is no
but what do you do about the monster that want to take on a mite as his mate? Just kidding. I really enjoyed the dynasty part of the game. It would be a welcome return. Not that you care a ton about your family, but "feeling" for someone other than yourself is a nice aspect. Heros dont bring that aspect. They are tools.
It's probably on the "auto next unit" after you move and I could turn it off, but after moving a unit, the camera swings straight away to the next unit. You could use a 2 second delay in there so that I can see what I just walked into before it flies to the next unit on the map and I have to use the edge scroll to get back and see what the surroundings are. Wouldn't even gripe about it, but its on by default. Other than that, this looks nice. only played 50
Again, Im always late to the party. I know you guys are making game improvements all the time. Much appreciated. After this 1.3 can you cool it down with updates and such...? I always want to get into a game, but with the possibility of an update in a week or two I keep waiting to play and just read the forum. Im not using Steam for this game. I'm sure I'm not the only one holding off for the next update. This game takes <span st

I think you would be better served putting that interest to use in your own game so that you can see what works and what doesn't when it comes into contact with human beings.
You rock! Wish I knew you in person. LOL good stuff!
Ok...Ok...Ok!!!! If you do do crafting can we get a bomb. The orc running under the castle. I want to sacrifice something. Edit: Just use a crafting window. Use the items like webs and pelts that are just sold at the store anyway and make use of them in a crafting window. You'd have to make it a little random somehow on what comes out. And like someone said... Use a mana slider or # imput to decide how much your

Personally I like the move to Steam. I was one of the people who pre-purchased Elemental so even when I got FE for free I bought it again on Steam, just because I like Steam and, well, like I said, you can't give this stuff away for free! Thanks for on
Fallout style remake? That would be a cinch with this engine. Almost everyone here is going to buy whatever your next game is even if it sucks. Go make yourselves happy and create something new. Your fans are pretty damned loyal.
I've never seen that issue (mouse pointer line up) Could you describe how you have your video resolution for the game set up? Do you play in a window, do you have the taskbar at the bottom of the screen? I'm wondering if there is some setup that would cause that. What happens if you turn on the hardware mouse cursor?
I dont get it all that often. It's just every once

Mouse pointer not lining up to the correct tile, and the goofy slowdown with the mouse when you are getting folks out of your city. # 6 -breaking the law- breakn' the law; I want more loot. never heard of "save scumming". From what the others have said, it sounds to me like the game is working just fine. If you want to load you can. If you dont, you dont. I think thats in-line with the design philosophy. that and I got the beta and learned about game development and the business. Im a little bit partial to criticism of these guys. (crap... or would it be impartial? Thats a tough one) <
Edit: PS. I too have been leaving elemental alone, keeping track of the forums and updates hoping the devs fix all MY issues , I got too good at the game, and now only pointless difficulties which make the game into a whole other kind of game persists. When you play on insane, it is very much a different game, still possible, but not very fun. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Love it. pretty m
I think, after reading this whole thread, that the developers have to be pretty happy with the monsters AI. there screwn' with everyone. even outside of the game. [e digicons]8(|[/e]
try this... Dont create a city. Just run around and collect a couple champs and loot. when you've found a couple nice spots you can settle pick one and go through the motions of building that on up and studying what each improvement does. And dont forget that losing is part of this game. Often its more fun than winning.
that one was shorter so I read the whole thing ;) Your onto something that has not really been said to my knowledge (i dont live here), in this way before. I was always a champion for more random events, and they are cool, but you can only have so many. Minor factions are cool, but they live mostly by the same rules that majors do and add little depth. You may just have invented the first 5x game. I dont know how they could make it work, but it
Only had to read the first 2 paragraphs an the last sentence. Minor factions... mmmmmm.... Yummy! GalCiv never finished that part, and it would be great (tony the tiger great) if something like this was implemented in full. I would buy it.
for goosh gooly sakes dont change it. This game can be played a thousand different ways. I went through a whole game as a beast lord but founded no city, and did not even take one over until mid game. It was a blast. I wound up winning (kinda), but I went up a couple difficulties and got crushed. Winning with some strategy does not in my mind make it OP. If the strategy worked then crank up the difficulty and start anew. See if it works again withou
I named my guy Mario and ran him around. Its more fun than you think if you dont mind taking a lickn'.
