Just keep giving me more stuff to pay for please! Make a monster rabbit that I can control.

would it be possible to have a start option (or a mod) where you get a city with say, a bell tower, and one other random champ to get the game started faster. I guess the ai would have to get the same. I dont get much time to play, and when I reload a game from a week ago I end up spending an hour trying to locate and remember what everyone has before I start kicking ass again. I try and dream about it at night so I can remember but I cant remember the dreams either.
Ehh, so these dragons don't fly. I don't see chickens cruising the skies, and they have wings.
Yeah, I agree. if you throw a chicken up in the air it can only fly, like maybe one tile. I dont need flying dragons. That and you can eat chicken.
I would pay to get married again! [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e] and have some bad ass kids!
I would not like the game to ding at me every single turn. That would get old very very very fast. Perhaps changing the end turn button from solid color to greyed out during the time when you are not supposed to do anything and the game isn't ready would work.
Lol. I dont want to see that button greyed out ever again. I've had enough of that crap.
Quoting merlimme: Call this cheating if you will, but I don't have enough spare time to spend twenty hours playing a game and then have to restart from scratch because of a stupid mistake. The AI might have beaten me in those games, not sure, or I might have been able to recover, but either way it was going to be an additional twenty hours of hard work. That is the best definition of not cheating I've ever heard. I dont have time for it either.&
it will take a while to get the hang of this game. every window and tool-tip are important in some way. it just takes some getting used to. Imagine playing Rome-Total War without knowing Rome ever existed. The learning of the mechanics is like an RPG all in itself. You'll enjoy it. I've been playing for 3 years. Check out the forum for hints and tricks.
From what I've read they never do the master quest. Thats for us humans. They can do the other two, or just dominate. Change some of the pre-game settings just for fun. The game has so many ways to beat you its hard to say what will work in any given situation. I played all weekend on expert and I'm still not sure if Im about to get creamed the next time I load up that game.
go beast lord and dont make a city. sack someone elses city. I havent tried it lately. I did it once in an earlier version and got to the finals.
It's still a burning question. I know its a complicated answer but.... please!
If you dont want the pioneers running around your permanent residence just kill them. Makes for a much more challenging game. The AI will "care" then.
Loading them with a bomb would be awesome!!!
I know people would like ships and such, but doing the ai for that... I dont see them trying that anytime soon. A much simpler solution would to be able to cast a spell on a unit (water walking) and have them be able to walk across water. But even then I assume it would still be a major code change for the ai to use it correctly. my 2¢
Quote; "I have played hundreds of hours in the Elemental world through all these titles and two of the betas and still come back for more." I guess "hundreds" could mean up to 999 hrs. I think I've put up into the thousands over the 3 versions. Whatever you paid for it was probably the best money you could have ever spent for a game. Its a given that I was asleep for a few hours here and there at the computer, but come on! I haven&#
dont forget initiative. The higher your initiative the more times your sov or champ will take a turn in battle. Giving a spell caster a +4 initiative assassin blade also gives the the ability to cast more often in fights and still hang back some.
I think someone from stardock started this thread to make me want to spend more money. Sneaky little bastards.
AI does most of its thinking during your turn.
Yet the mystery remains... How long does it take for 7 AI and a hundred monsters to make rational decisions between turns? Its really just curiosity eating at me. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
Later in each game im usually a little tired of micromanaging and just move around my stack of doom and forget the rest. In turn, I hit the turn button repeatedly in under 20 seconds after I glance around and move my doom. The question is: If I give the AI more time to think about its next move will I get a better AI? Thats been eating at me for awhile. Thanks
Quoting Fallenchar, reply 3 Whatever you do, stay away from the Butchermen... If I am playing on Challenging or lower difficulty level, if I find a roaming army with Forgotten Martyrs and Butchermen in an AI territory, I will suicide large numbers of scouts to them. Such mayhem!
Thats Awesome!
Thought it would be seen here sooner. Sorry for an unrelated post. Brad, or whomever: Can you do a short explanation of the business reasons Stardock would buy the rights to Star Control. I like reading what you write about your business in general. Im in business, and its nice to hear from someone in a completely unrelated field than mine explain their business decisions. Just curious. Thanks http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/07/23/auc
what does that mean? ^^
This was an awesome read!!! Thanks guys. It's a business. They need to make money. Not out of greed or spite, but to keep the lights on. I think I only read that from one reply. If everyone spent as much time writing multi-paragraph posts as they (SD) did producing something, who knows what kind of life we could all be living. peace in the middle east. </p
Thats a common sense suggestion. I like it.
not a bug. dont impale your own guys. thats kinda a key thing if your in battle. [e digicons]:D[/e] Also dont shoot a fireball at them, or target that single enemy surrounded by your own guys with a catapult. Couldnt resist. sorry. Speaking of... The AI need to know about the catapult thing also. They help me out more than they hurt by wiping out the guys around me.
at city border (or cant move) = attack next move + random % (still using brains) Dont make it hard on yourself. finally got to put 8 hrs in this weekend and loved it. You guys finally nailed it. Thanks frog! Edit- If they already are moving (left the lair or a city) put in a check to make sure they dont sit in one spot for more than 2 turns or something. Even if its 8 turns till they can re-pathfind
