I tried TQ and it was boring. Much worse game then D2. Better balanced skills but that is all. I tried Torchlight 1, it was bad. I cannot stand cartoony graphics. It was way not serious enough and its other features were not good enough for me to ignore that. Currently I play D3. I am not satisfied with it, graphics could be better, there could be more character development (and by that I mean trying out builds; in D3 you never need more then one character of same class) and s

I been talking to devs a bit more and they stated that they prefer fun and innovative game features over flashy graphics. They are working on having nice graphics but they are not on the top of the list. But for an indie game I cannot complain about graphics. D3 has nice graphics with cool animations but almost everything else is pretty bad. Well 2 more months and we will find out. They also plan to put our more trailers and info about the game before release.
I agree with this as well. Pioneers should not be a unit you can build right away or there should be a real penalty for making a lot of them. Like in Sword of the Starts each colony ship takes a part of the population of the planet it is built on. This controls two things: 1. You sacrifice economy/production of your base planet to get a new one and then have a benefit of two places producing new colonists/population. 2. It lets you take away more colonists from
Quoting TorinReborn, reply 2Also looks like the game will have factions, which is what both Morrowind and Skyrim missed for whatever reason. Skyrim certainly has factions.
Not really. Only in name.
I think this game is closer to Morrowind/skyrim then diablo or PoE or Grim Dawn. It is not a pure aRPG, it is more an adventure RPG with lots of combat. Well for whatever reason they don't understand the importance of good trailer :D I talked to them on their forums about this and for whatever reason they though it is OK to make a trailer that is not on max details. But to me game features are more important then graphics so I am looking forward to it. Free roaming
Well it is about time Stardock forums had its own topic about this upcoming game (it should come out by end of July) that got me excited as soon as I found out about it 3 months ago. It is done by a small indie developer from Croatia. If I had to describe this game in few words, I would say this is Morrowind meets Diablo + its own unique elements. What are main features of this upcoming game: [i]- Open, large and rich fantasy game world: meaning a sandbox
Quoting TorinReborn, reply 29 But if most of the best games coming out were F2P you would not have a choice. You only do this because F2P model hasn't yet taken off properly If that ever happens I'll worry about it.
If it was used today, Blizzard would not fuck over most of their users with D3. We would not pay them 60$ (or euros if from EU) to play in singleplayer with 200+ ping.
F2P has some great products, but its really hard to get into more than one. I play Battleforge myself and have spent more than my share on it, but other F2P games come along and you know, I'd rather keep playing Battleforge instead. Even though I feel like I've spent more than enough time and money on it, I'd have a hard time investing in another game unless it was actually better. Whereas I still buy tons of n
I love F2P model if done properly as was described by Brad. Path of Exile is a great example of this, and I hope Neverwinter will be as well. D&D Online is kind of good example. Hellgate London (new one) was kind of bad, the game stopped you from playing on after doing 1/4 of the game and you needed to buy a ticket for 5$ to progress. Also all the shop items were Pay2Win ones and in end game were required to progress. Anyways, F2P
I finally got around to support this project. It has only hours left but it is fully funded and more. Still some more money will let them put in new cool stuff so I would suggest anyone that planned to support them but forgot to go do it NOW!
5. Please when we get a level up screen for cities give us relevant into about that city to help us in the decision. Things like Grain/Materials is critical but you can also add current unrest level, current gold income from that city and current population growth.
It ain't fair all these attacks on Frog. The game is progressing well, if you want to attack someone wait until the game is near ready or at least until they implemented all mechanics and only got polishing to do. What I would like is a more reliable way to get spells. I am not a fan of my champion/sovereign levels and might get a new spell level. Maybe implement more spells as quest rewards or as random rewards from clearing monster camps as items that give t
I also noticed this and plan to give some money. I been following the development for 6 months now and was hoping they would also go to kickstarter to get money to finally finish this game.
I gave them 15$ for this. Hope the game is on time and fun :)
Wow, this sounds awesome.
What I cannot believe that people expectations have gotten so low they accept crap like ME3 or Skyrim now. Give me some fancy graphics and some VO and cinematic and I will love you? Throw in some FPS elements and endless waves of enemies and gameplay is good? Seriously?!
WoM campaign was terribad, so I really hope this one will be fun.
Quoting Cruxador, reply 30 In other words, if you don't like Mass Effect, you won't like it, and if you do like Mass Effect then you really won't like it. More like if you hate 3rd Person shooters you'll dislike it anyways. And if you're the sort of person that will rage at a star trek book for not having 100% proper cannon, etc then you might be disappointed at ME3 as well, since it squeezed out so
Let me provide this that I got from another forum about this topic: "TB's video on Gamer entitlement http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=0sYp-eggD1Q#t=649s (starts at 10:45)"
Quoting TorinReborn, reply 22Well F3 is garbage (when compared to F1 & 2). I tried it for 1h and uninstalled. So you didnt even finish the tutorial part? Your opinion on this is worthless.
I did finish tutorial part. Had that first fight on exit. Got to first "city" (LOL city), roamed a bit and then uninstalled.
Quoting Neilo, reply 82Can anyone give an overview of the current state of the game? Has it been patched at all? any info will be appreciated thanks! Surely better than the release but game is still in the beta state.
Do you think they will also offer free expansion to anyone that bought SotS2? :D I remember EWoM also never leaving beta status :D
Well F3 is garbage :D (when compared to F1 & 2). I tried it for 1h and uninstalled.
Because it was based on an existing D&D campaign setting of Planescape that had a lot of books and rules and lore about it. All they needed to do is come up with a story, and make that world come alive.
Metacritic user score is the only score worth checking. Just add +2.0 to whatever it says to equal -2.0 they get from people that give 1 while emotional. ME3 is pretty bad when compared to ME2 and especially ME1. If comparing ME series to Dragon Age series I would put DAO = ME1, ME2 somewhere in between DAO and DA2, and ME3 = DA2. Every pixel is where it should be, all sounds are good, voice acting is as it should be. What ME3 lacks is engaging story, better conversations, bet
Quoting Tasunke, reply 3How do you get a hold of a dragon? I've heard of the possible Dragon (as reward) via Curgen's Hold, and then there are the Drakes, Ophidians, and Naga that can be built with Serpent's Pact civ trait ... But what is this about Dragons? Well... If it breathes fire and sweeps it's tail then it's a dragon in my book..
