Confucius say that man who leap off cliff jump to conclusion. All kidding aside anything is possible given enough time and money. I bought Elemental in September, had my wtf moments with CTD's and lame AI, came to the forums, microwaved a bag of popcorn while I read the drama, digested SD's plan, watched the execution of said plan, and am now playing my little teenie tiny part of the community feedback loop. SD is investing the money and proving it with these hires; the

The text on this button will say "Win the Game." I've had some discussions with Brad and the marketing team about this, and everyone is really excited by the possibilities. We've seen it work well in products from other publishers,

Are there prizes if we guess correct? Lets start up a betting pool. $5 a bet, winner takes the pot. Who wants to bet first? [/quote] $5 on Michael Bolton from Initech.

Either way you're on a.. let's call it a tile, and you can move in eight directions, each of which takes you to a new tile with eight paths leading from it. I don't think it matters whether you represent this 'tile' with a square or an octagon or hide it from the player entirely, either way it's essentially just a point that's symmetrically connected to other surrounding points,

I know Brad mentioned they are completely revamping tactical combat so this idea is probably moot. One idea I thought of would be to implement some kind of fatigue debuff to attacking/defending units in combat. Logic goes that if a unit is actively engaged in combat, it is getting tired and stats suffer. I raise this point because in my current game I have an army of 11 fully geared champions marauding across the map killing massive groups of armies (armies in Umber cities of 6 groups of 9 Si

Holding down the scroll wheel and moving the mouse around does the trick. Not sure why you're experiencing problems.

Derek - how about a separate menu to manage trade routes? Something akin to the mini-map that shows cities, colored routes, threats, and a ledger type menu showing turns to upgrades, how many used/free trade routes per city, all that jazz? It would be cool to visually see the caravan connections and manage them from a dedicated menu. It's kind of a pain to manually find and click on the caravans to see when the roads will upgrade and such. However, totally agree there are higher priorities. I

At least once if not several times a day I get a bad tip for no reason. People tell me how great everything was then tip horribly. My hourly wage is $2.50 and its not even enough to cover my income taxes that are paid on my declared tips. The people I serve are the source of my income. When someone stiffs me or

What's with the obsession most gave designer's have with centering things in the middle of the screen. They center the screen on the event, then center the message about it, hiding the event itself. Silly. "center" the event on one side of the screen and put the message about it on the oth

I vote with my dollars so I don't generally use or pay for crap out of Hollywood or record labels. If I find something worthwhile to watch or listen to, I'll pay for it. Stealing another's property is wrong- I'm sure any poster on here supporting Pirate Bay would not want their own time and labor to be stolen without compensation. Creators of products and services need to be paid to keep the lights on like anyone else.

Raise/lower land used to be a single tile in 1.09 - now they both affect 9 tiles and the mana cost is cheap. I usually lower mountains in my zoc to provide direct routes for caravan road building (helps improve logistics) and raise land around cities on the coast to expand tile building or give caravans the shortest route possible. Regarding teleport, I'm finding it useful to plug any gaps behind my lines, never from faction AI, only from mobs. I created a thread awhile ago
