I'm starting a play by play analysis of a 1.19a ridiculous game here: Seasons 1-20: https://forums.elementalgame.com/404927 Seasons 21-40: https://forums.elementalgame.com/404944 This is a work in progress until next patch where I'll then terminate and start over. Brad - please take the time to read through these. Lots of good stuff in there. If you want,
Purpose: Provide thoughts and commentary of a ridiculous setting game in efforts to help Brad and crew understand my methods to defeat the AI. I'm optimistic it will help the team understand why/how to counter the more hardcore players. I fully realize I'm not God's gift to strategy games - but I would like the ridiculous AI to kick my ass now and then. Upon ending turn, unit does not disappear. Also received the warning that enemy units are in my territory despite the fact that Resoln is 6 feet under. Gonna turn my army around and go kill the unit. This is a definite bug.
Fresh start and load, hit end turn, and CTD uppercut. http://pastebin.com/P0UN6jPC I suspect this may have to do with the "enemy faction spawn a unit" bug: https://forums.elementalgame.com/404871 I will try another load and hit end turn to see if it happens again. [Edit] Second load did not repeat the CTD so unsure what caused it.
Does this forum have an "Ignore" function that I'm just missing? Or does it desperately need one?
What did Lord Xia say now? [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
Brad or Derek, Can you please share the formula for how both faction power and unit/stack power is calculated? This could help the community understand how/why the AI is making decisions around going to war or deciding if battles are winnable. We might be able to help out here. Thanks. [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]

I performed an analysis of how the AI gears their sovereigns, spouses, and champions in 1.19a here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/404914 Summary of Observations: The observations are clear: the AI is not gearing sovereigns, spouses, or champions despite available tech levels and gildar. Furthermore, a number of anomalies were noted where the AI did gear beyond observable tech levels. Somethi

Brad challenged us to provide details and be specific - trying to meet those deliverables. Note I just conquered Resoln and their observer from their unit queue spawned outside the city upon my conquer. The menu on the right notified I completed the build (unit is not under my control). Weird. Save: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Elemental/Queue_BUG.EleSav <img src="http:

Updated strategic AI analysis for 1.19a: https://forums.elementalgame.com/404867 Summary of Observations: Neither soveriegns or spouses ever leave capital to explore, level, or grab goodie huts - the only factions grabbing goodie huts are those who hired champions. Recommend giving sovereigns and spouses xp per turn or have them explore the world (being careful of course) AI doesn't seem to weight h
